This is the thread for signing up for the individual FISO H2H Leagues for 2018-19. I have volunteered to take on the admin task for the H2H Leagues. Big thanks to Moist von Lipwig, Stemania and MoSe for their excellent work on this competition in previous seasons.

The leagues do not auto renew, existing players have to sign up each year. They will run as leagues of 20 teams each so you play everyone in your league home and away over the full season, top 3 are promoted and the bottom 3 are relegated. The six 2018-19 Starting leagues will be based on last year's standings, promotion and relegation.

I haven't yet caught up with the the future, so I'm afraid this will be a stone-age sign-up thread - Sign up below with either your fpl link, fpl ID or an updated fpl button.

Existing players from last year have been sorted into their new leagues where appropriate.

New players are also welcome, just sign up below with your fpl link and team name. Those new players wishing to enter the competition must commit themselves to be present in FISO, check the forum regularly (and join their league once prompted).

(The FPL Team Link should be of the form https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/xxxx/history, where 'xxxx' is your Team ID. This link, with Team ID, can be found in the URL on your FPL team page by pressing 'View Gameweek History'.

Priority is given to the existing participants. The deadline for existing players to sign up is 23:59 on Thursday 2nd August.

After this deadline, registered existing players will be moved up leagues to fill any gaps as necessary, maintaining their order. The caveat is that any player relegated from one league last season will not be shuffled up to fill gaps in the league from which they were demoted; rather, the number of automatic promotion spots will be effectively increased and relegations considered final!

After the above deadline the remaining spaces in the list of participants for the lower leagues will be filled by those from the New Players list on a first come first served basis. So, in order for new players to get a space, existing players will have to drop out - but there is normally at least a dozen or so. Anyone who misses out (or any existing players who miss the deadline) will be placed on a Reserved List. It is unlikely that the game will be expanded beyond 6 leagues, although if there is sufficient interest a decision on that will be made nearer the time.

As a slight departure from previous seasons I shall be creating the leagues and releasing the league join codes as soon as I have a high degree of confidence that I know which league you will be in. So Premier League Managers will receive their codes by PM soon after registering and the lower leagues will start to receive theirs as the Premier League fills up. Please join your league as soon as you can after receiving your code to help this process run smoothly.

Also, if you know that you will not be playing in the H2H Leagues this season it would be a much appreciated aid to the registration process if you could let me know, either on here or by PMing me directly.

On Friday 3rd August, once this registration and shuffling up process is complete, the join codes will be sent to each registered participant who hasn't yet received one via PM.

The deadline for joining leagues (via the FPL website) is midday on Tuesday 7th August. Registration alone is not sufficient to participate; every player must also join their respective league by this second deadline. So, all those who register (existing or new) should commit to checking the forum regularly to do so. If any registered player fails to join their league by this deadline they will be added to the Reserve List. All players from the Reserve List will be subsequently invited to fill those gaps.

Early Join Code Requests. If you are concerned that you may not be available to join your league between 3rd & 7th August, or you're just happy with the league you are currently assigned to, then you can request your join code early. By doing this however, you will be giving up any chance of being promoted to a higher league in the shuffling up process.

Finally, I am also running a new sidegame, The FISO Swiss Cup. Everyone entering the H2H leagues will automatically be entered into the Swiss Cup as well. It doesn't require you to do anything or use up any fpl League slots, just play fpl. If, however, you would prefer not to be entered into the Swiss Cup then just let me know either when you sign up here, by posting over on the Swiss Cup thread or by PMing me directly and I will opt you out.

UPDATE - Clearing Process Details

1. Soon after midday on Tuesday 7th August, for every League place which hasn't been filled I shall send the join code, by PM, to the team in the League below which would have been bumped up had the team above not registered. So, for example, if Tall Paul in the PL hasn't joined his league then I shall invite chris2k_11 from the Championship to take his place.

2. If the place is claimed by the team in the league below then this will create a space in that league, so step 1 will be repeated to fill that space. Continuing the example, if chris2k_11 takes the space then velcro from L1 will be invited to take the new space in the Championship.

3. During this time the current holder of the place can still join the league. Whoever joins first is the one who keeps the place. e.g. If Tall Paul joins before chris2k_11 then he will keep his PL place and chris2k_11 will remain in the Championship.

4. Anyone who loses their place during this process will be placed on the Reserve List.

5. After 21:00 BST on Tuesday 7th no more join codes will be sent out. All those who have received a join code will have 2 hours from the time it was sent to join the league.

6. Between 21:00 and 23:00 (depending on the time the last code was sent out) I shall begin sending codes for all remaining spaces plus all spaces in the Conference to everyone on the Reserve List. Whoever claims the places first will keep them.

7. Throughout this process the Reserve List shall remain open for new and returning players to join.

What does this mean for you?

If your name is in RED in the League boards on the first page then after midday on Tuesday you can still join your league, but others will also be invited and may take your place before you.

If you are near the top of your league board and there are names in RED in the leagues above you then you may be invited to join the league above during Tuesday afternoon/evening.

If you are on the Reserve List and there are league spaces available then from between 21:00 and 23:00 on Tuesday you will receive PMs inviting you to join the leagues. Whoever joins first will get the places.
