FISO Balkan
I hope this kind of a thread is allowed, and if not I apologize in advance.
I was wondering how much people from Balkan are active on FISO forum. Perhaps, I'm interested in people from foreign Yugoslavia countries (Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR Maccedonia and Slovenia). I had an idea that maybe next season we can create a paralel mini-league called FISO Balkan and play together, if it's allowed by admins.
Anyone?

I haven't kept it up to date lately, but parked in my RMT
viewtopic.php?f=99&t=115292&start=60
you could find the weekly updates for the Fiso Forum League
latest uploaded GW22 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... amsdiArpo8
but I kept updating my local file regularly, will share it at the end
it got added (after smatsh requested it to Mav3rick) the player Region too
and I of course summarised Forum League Regions in a table
(provided the playes entered them seriously and not just for fun, see e.g. Antarctica... a scientist working there yearlong?)
most famous srpinging to my mind is Isalla
and of course there might be more balkanian fisoers who didn't join the Forum League

Albanian here. Live in Germany though, but I'll put Albania back as my Country in FPL next year. Being first there will be one of the goals for next season.

Hmmmm......
from the Fiso Forum League, in gw35 ranking order (didn't update later yet)
according to the Regions entered in FPL (so no Geri there yet) alas I couldn't track most Fiso usernames thereof
you might rather PM to the known ones, as many of them are not very active in this forum

Colloquially Balkan usually refers to former Yugoslavia + Albania. I think that's what Payet meant.

Re: FISO Balkan
Thank you MoSe, you are doing amazing stuff here during the whole season.
I won't PM anyone, I just wanted to check how much of these guys are active in fact. Not impressed at all. The thing is (I suppose) that a lot of people from our region are not so good in speaking and writing English, so they avoid forum conversation rather than trying to improve it.
offtopic: you are one of the rare Italians (as far as I know them, since i used to live in Florence during one summer) who speak and write English very fluently. Congrats on that.

Well, I am not active on forum and I don't know will it change
Interested in Balkan League, though.
@Payet
Regarding ability of Balkan people to speak and write English, I think most of "young(er)" people are adequatly proficient for forum communication.
Whoever young(er) people are.

Yeah let's not go into (geo)politics here. It's just how the word is used here. When someone says he's going on a Balkan Tour you don't imagine him in Greece. Greece is in the Balkan region, but few consider it a Balkan country. Anyway, no politics!

Sorry, can't help myself, and the way I see it it's geography, not politics. And where I am from, Greece is universally considered a Balkan country.gallus wrote:Oh snap!MoSe wrote:I Balk at entering such geopolitical discussionPoison Idea wrote:Not attempting to balkanize the thread, but that statement is not correct. Re: FISO Balkan
TBH my original idea was to establish a mini-league which would reassemble FISOers from Balkan states. However, my personal interest (beside this) was to see how many people from former Yugoslavian republics are active on FISO. It doesn't mean that people from other Balkan countries (such as Greece, for example) are not welcome to join the league. At the end, we will be able to see who is a Balkan champion on FISO in season 2017/2018.
I don't want you to start politics discussion, according to Wikipedia Balkan countries are (mostly or partially):
Albania
Bulgaria
Bosnia & Herzegovina
Kosovo
Macedonia
Montenegro
Croatia
Greece
Romania
Serbia
Slovenia
Also, Italy (0.1% of total land) and Turkey (3%) are partially on Balkan, but these percentages are not significant to consider them as Balkan countries. Therefore, people from the eleven states I mentioned above are more than welcome to join FISO Balkan league which is meant to be organized next season (2017/2018).
For now:
1. Payet (Montenegro)
2. gallus (Slovenia)
3. Geri (Albania)
4. Vaslent (Bulgaria)
5. man3 (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
6. zdren (Croatia)
7. mirzza (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
8. Cappy18 (Bulgaria)
9. Isalla (Croatia)
10. DragonSwag (Croatia)
