I just checked my "team" and was overjoyed to see all greens so obviously expected to have zoomed up the leagues, but have dropped to last  Bit confused though, because I made a trade on Thursday at just gone 10.00pm and it still shows as pending. What am I missing?

If you place your trade before midday on a business day, it will be traded using the following business day’s closing fund prices. During this time, you will see the pending trades under your current portfolio waiting for trade execution (on the ‘Your Portfolio’ screen). However, the trade will not actually be executed until midnight after the following business day, however, and so you will be unable to place any further trades between midday (when the trading for the current trading day is ‘locked down’) and midnight on the business day after you traded because your trade is pending execution. At midnight after the following business day, the trade will be executed and you will be able to see your updated portfolio from that time on the ‘Your Portfolio’ page.

I was second briefly, so it seems as though I perform better when the markets are down. However, I haven't been able to view the table for a week or so. Anyone else having the same problem?

It doesn't matter how much I trade, I still can't get off the bottom of this bleeding league. :(

2nd in the monthly to get an Ipad with a bottle of champagne a consolation prize. Hopefully not too much ground to make up overall though it does jump in the score the nearer to first. It's quite a thing to predict the market direction 2 days in advance. I did it on my last trade through a mixture of luck and judgement so reticent to try that again too often. With the Greek elections on the 17th there may be some uncertainty in the market unless other events or numbers show themselves.

Good luck there.
I was 2nd overall last year and monthly winner in November gone. As you say it's not easy to foresee market movements two days ahead.
Markets remain headline sensitive but are mabye numbing slightly to the never ending euro zone crisis. Summer months often see a sharp sell off in equities, will 2012 be different?. Bulls will be waiting for any hint of further money printing (QE) stateside or more cheap loans to European banks (LTRO) from the ECB. I'm slightly bearish short to medium term but wouldn't be surprised to see Ftse end the year around the 6000 mark. I feel it's best to take a position and hold it or while rather than make constant portfolio changes trying to catch the big moves. Good luck.

Strong chance that I've won an Ipad2.

Fiso is 1st due to Jonathon Wells catching the market right yesterday though they don't give any league prize. He's 33rd overall plus 6th in the monthly. I'm 14th overall though missed out on the direction that time. I guess the market change was predictable looking back at the available news though the main movement was in one particular fund and that had news regarding its general content at the end of last week. I won that Ipad2 last month by the way.
