Mr Green / timmsy:

When you mention banking profits what would you suggest is a good profit level to sell on? I've got one property that's over £10k and a few around £2-4k.

Would you sell all of those or just the big one?

Dr Bunker - Firstly, remember it's really only the "Price Change" figure that's relevant in terms of future data-based house price changes. A property that has a "Total Profit" of 4k which consists entirely of bonuses hasn't actually increased in value as such at all.

However, if a property has a "Price Change" of 5k-10k thus far in the game (especially if most/all of it was gained in the last month), I would certainly think seriously about trading it in - as I have done with my own detached property in Bath this month after it increased from £377,500 to £387,300 during last month.

It's tough to say with "Price Change" increases of 2k-4k. I guess it depends on the trend - if it's gone down then up, then I would lean towards selling, whereas if it's gone up then down, then I'd more likely hang onto it...

However, I ain't no expert...

I actually came joint 2nd but got bumped to third. Can anyone understand the T&Cs? It looks like I lost 200 quid by entering later than Mr Taylor. Harsh.

Anyway, that's my first ever fantasy game prize. And one Christmas present sorted nice and early.

20. Prizes are awarded and winners selected on the basis of the most profit made for the prize period. In the event of two or more entrants achieving the same total profit (or the same loss) within the Competition for any prize period, a tie-break will come into effect. In such circumstances, the winner will be determined by which entrant has gained the most profit (or least loss) based on property data-based fluctuations during the relevant period. If there is still no separating the tied entrants, the entrant who entered the Competition earliest will be declared the winner. In all matters, the decision of the judge(s) and Channel 4 shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

Tedbull - You actually entered earlier than Alan Taylor, who was awarded the runner-up prize for Game Month 4.

However, Alan was placed higher by the fact that £24,500 of his profit in Game Month 4 came from Land Registry based price fluctuations, whereas only £22,600 of your profit came from the same source (meaning that you benefited more from the news-based price fluctuations).

Pleased with my results as they have been nice and consistent

I don't however think I can catch up, I've had a few nice touches but not the one big hit you need

My best performing property made 11.7k the person in first place made 51.9k on one property alone

I can't believe all the people that had the massive profits in Twickenham failed to bank them

I'm a touch under 28k down on 1st place and unless I get lucky that's a big big gap

Sh*t, I thought I was 39th

Actually Mrs SP4 has thrashed me at this. I spent 10 minutes explaining it to her and within 3 weeks she had a team in the top 50. Realizing I had to do something I changed everything...and ended up losing 12,000 places

Let the game finish soon please.
