Did 4 & 5 today

Clichy  Alexander (4pts :) )
Tomkins  Vermaelen

Still far from happy with this team. Was hoping Arshavin would be benched so I could have justified swapping to Fabregas!

Captained Adebayor for just 2*5.

Come on Arsh!

Have gutted this team - Down to 6 transfers & still not happy with a couple of players - Samuel is still lurking, glad he was suspended today though.

Transfer No. 6 JLS  Ivanovic. Farwell to the last of the 5 duds in the Starting squad.

Should be a winner, despite today's lack of action against Wolves.

Was also tempted to take out Clichy for Ashley Cole - but decided that 4 consecutive defender transfers was a bit excessive.

Next move may be to reverse the Gerrard-Barry switch I made a couple of months ago. Given Torres' injury problems, I think that Gerrard (if he doesn't need an op) + Adebayor will score more than Barry + Torres. Actually, possibly because of a knock, I thought that Barry was terrible in the game at Anfield yesterday and that City improved no end when he was replaced.

Transfer 8: Clichy  Evra

After dropping Vidic for Vermaelen earlier this evens up my defence again, picking up Man U cover ahead of their great run of fixtures and getting rid of the injured Clichy.

Losing the plot this year, forgot to set up team on Saturday for the 5.30 and again for tonights game.

Carrying too much deadwood at the moment and loathed to make any more changes until the FA Cup draw is made when a mass cull will take place.

So, in the absence of Osman, did one (or possibly two) others.

Well played to those with Dempsey - I thought hard about bringing him or David Dunn my squad, but left alone because I thought that Osman was going to be fit again this week.

Interesting subs Art, makes your side a bit different! I did notice you sneaking up the ISO leaderboard after last weekend, your Lampard/Defoe combo vs the majority with Gerrard/Drogba will be one to keep an eye on. I had a look through the ISO teams this morning and comforted by how many transfers others have been used in this, I thought I'd done way too many but most of leaders have done at least 8 and some even more. Then there are others like Bal, Murf, Chocs, MV, AK who've still used a few but look like they've been a bit more patient!

I had a choice of Schwarzer or Heitinga to star last night and fortunately went the right way, still meant I dropped a couple of places overall though. Everton defenders haven't come to the party yet, on last nights performance beginning to wonder if they ever will.

Here are standings. I've been clinging on for grim death at the top for a few weeks now, so may as well sing while i'm still winning.

I went the other way NM - a -6 for bloody Heitinga cancelled out the +6 for Schwarzer. Think my other TFFO teams will overtake my ISO team as top dog in the very near future...

My other TFFO team had finally caught up with ISO at the weekend (or more accurately the ISO team caught down with it) but Schwarzer moved ISO back ahead. My other team got -2 thanks to Cap'n Samba.

Not sure of dates but here is my gutting of this squad so consequently I have lost most of my transfers!

SEB  Carlton Cole
Gudjonnsen  Mijhas
Adebayor  Bent
Osman  Lennon
Arshavin  Fabregas
Carlton Cole  Adebayor
Samuel  Evra
Tomkins  Heitinga
Vidic  Vermalen
Clichy  Bridge
Samba  Dunne

Fairly Happy with the team now but still not picking up the points that I possibly should be. Not many transfers left so hopefully these lot will pick up form soon!

Went Adebayor captain over Shrek to mix things up  Dunn goes of injured & Man City wouldn't know what a CS was if it hit them between the eyes  Scharner the only success story in a poor ISO weekend I guess for me :|

Had Rooney on star in 5 of my 7 squads, including the ISO one (one of the rare things I've got right this season). Starred Adebayor in the other two. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that Adebayor's early season form was a red herring and he is in fact a bit crap. If he gets another suspension for his latest stamping incident then he's gone....

I too went Adebayor on star, my squad is rapidly turning to poo! Annoying as I think it's an ok squad & peaked at 78th early this season, clinging onto top 500 now. :(

Transfers 7 & 8

Osman  Kuyt
Adebayor  Defoe

Fed up with waiting for Osman to return and a change of (Liverpool) strategy because of Torres' ongoing injury problems.

Still not happy with the squad - particularly Clichy, N'Zogbia and Cohen - but can't afford to make any more transfers for a while.

Now that the FA Cup draw has been made Transfer no6 for ISO Evvy

Osman  Dempsey

Milijas and Samba keep their places (only just, both were on the way out until I saw that I would get flange clashes for the next couple of weeks) and am not prepared to waste a transfer on taking Samuel out and replacing him with an equally useless defender!

Ak - Interesting that you have included N'Zogbia, is this perfromance or flange coverage based? Must say that he is a strong perfromer this year so is a definate stay in my team.

Anyway transfers made:

Clichy, G  Ivanovic, B
Tomkins, J  Carvalho, R
Arshavin, A  Fabregas, C
