It would have needed to be just one entry for him to get his name in blue (its in red)

 Silly me. Fancy thinking he could make it to the ranks of blue.

I should add the 2005 TDF onto the hall of fame really. For some reason it generated 28 pages worth of replies, none of the others have gotten close to double figures yet it was one of the dullist TDF in memory (Lances last TDF). Last years was the best since LeMond vs Fignon for me and that only made it to page 7!

For this, I shall rise from my customary middle placing of around 250th overall to well and truely spank your little feathery arse, yet again

I have a photo supplier of every race, team, rider in europe. I've been drowning in pictures of oscure Italian cyclists for 3 months.

Should get photos from every stage soon after it finishes, which I'll put up here, especially if any of my riders win!

Looks like there will be at least 5 of us in the FISO mini league (assuming I can decide on a team line up). I'm sure a couple of others will join in as well as we get towards the end of the week. I'm going to have to enter slightly early as I won't be around on Friday or Saturday, so better make sure I give my reserve rider list a bit of thought as well.

Hall of fame updated to include the 2007 Giro. Dandg, Uncsimes and St_u_pid have a chance to become the first fisoers to podium in all 3 grand tours in a calendar year. Peoples stretches his run of top 4 finishes to 4.

Wow, not only do I make it to the Hall of Fame, I have been canonized as well.

On a serious note, can I suggest a new category for stage podiums, to record unc's magnificent effort on stage 15.

With the 2008 Fantasy Giro coming up this weekend, just a quick bump for the Hall of Fame thread.

Peoples is the class act, but doesn't usually peak until later in the season at the TdF. Will he just be using the Giro as practice again or is he going to have a serious ride at it this year?

I make Peoples favourite with CY 2nd favourite (and a definite good each way bet - always close to the podium)

Updated with the 2008 TdF results. Devious takes his first title at the first attempt. Peoples makes his 3rd TdF podium in a row edging out Murf in the battle for most podiums which he now has outright with 4 visits.

Alchemist becomes the 3rd fisoite to claim a stage win and also joins the list of people to have stood on the podium more than once. I dont think anyone else won a stage but feel free to point out if you did.

Peoples remains the only fisoite to have placed in the top 10 of the overall GC. Meanwhile the fight to claim the grand slam of 3 podiums in a calendar year rolls on for another 12 months with all 3 Giro podium heroes failing to put in an appearance St_u_pid putting in the best effort with 10th. Peoples (that man again) has a crack at another appearance on the closest to a slam line with a 4th and a 3rd so far while Murf has 2 top 5's.

Vuelta results now in. Bluelionman becomes only the second fisoer to place in the overall top 10 with a fine 8th placed finish to take his first title. Alchemist and Porgey step onto the podium for the 3rd time in their careers.

CanaryYellow remains the only fisoite with a podium on each of the grand tours but its been over 2 years since he last put in a visit (new doping laws caught up to me?) and the slam of 3 podiums in a year continues to prove elusive for everyone, only Alchemist managed 2 podium visits in 2008.

Roll on 2009 and thanks as ever to Porgey.

Has Porgey ever considered doing something for the other Pro Tour stage races?

Can understand why it's pointless trying to do something for the classics, but for a decent length stage race there should be no real problem providing there's a decent website for the race. The scoring system would have to be tinkered slightly and so would the pricing of certain riders, but after the first time out that should be only minor tinkering issues.

Congratulations to MVL on his tour de France win following up his podium finish in the Giro. I thought I had do e enough to take the Tout with the top 4 riders on the podium!
He and I are both hoping to complete the rare feat of podium slots in all 3 Grand Tours in a season.
Bring on the Vuelta!

All done.

MvL becomes just the 4th multiple grand tour winner with his last 3 tours resulting in 2 wins and a 2nd. Neathboy settles for a lower podium spot in France for the 3rd time in his career while Bagpuss now has now completed his own personal slam of podium finishes with his 3rd placed finish.

2012 is only the second time in the last 7 years Peoples has not made the TdF podium. Frank Shleck, whatever was he thinking?

Interestingly MvL's overall ranking of 230 is fisos worst showing in the 9 years we have been playing velogames. This probably owes more to the popularity of the game and increased competition than anything else but even still....

The GTs have gone wll recently althohugh I was hoping you might gloss over that bit :D Just shows the popularity of the game now - 15,000 entrants I think, the Halfords game with a raft of prizes got under 12,000.
