The red lantern is approaching really fast. Ironically, my two riders that have scored zero are Boy van Poppel and Christophe Knees.

Good stage today.
Mullens put his name forward,
Crash, chrash, chraash.
Lopez should just keep fit for Le Tour.
Battaglin wins.
Dennis defends his pink.

I would have thought attempted attacks over the weekend would suit his cause. Test the water I say because I ain't got him. :D

This was an unexpected long stay in Yates's wine lodge. I'm impressed with him. At 25, he has the head. The Giro has been entertaining. These last two climbing days should produce more. Yates is a better climber, it's just how much he has in his battery. C'mon Yatesie.

Wow indeed. Phenomenal ride. Shame the highlights didn't show much of the section where the gap was fully extended but then the show would have taken all night.

The top 5 in the FISO league are within the top 2000. The tables turned today as Murf squeezed in a stage win. I sense a finish at the rear of the peleton for me.

Nice bet 8-)

remarkable race yesterday. Froome summons the spirit of Fausto Coppi on the Cima Coppi, a fantastic battle for White (after Lopez looked cooked at one point earlier in the stage), Tom D digging deep but not quite deep enough and the utter despair of having to ride 80km in the mountains knowing that you've lost the race after cracking on the first climb. Chapeau for Yates for not climbing off the bike and keeping going til the end. And the scenery at the top of the Finestre in particular was jaw dropping. What a theatre to play out a drama like yesterday.

In the last couple of years Froome has actually started showing some panache (as far as anyone who rides the bike in that ugly, angular way that he does can be said to have panache) and guts. Attacking with Sagan in the Tour, riding off like Coppi in the Giro. He actually looked happy in the interview as well (as he should do after pulling off one of the greatest rides in the modern era). Definitely warming to him.

Not sure he'll go quite as far as doing a Merckx and attacking again on the first climb today and take another 8 minutes 'just in case' though :D

Velogames site appears to be down :?

Are you saying I won the FISO stage or overall (surely not)?

It was quite painful watching Yates crumble...

I didn't see the highlights, but showing the gap open out shouldn't have been too tricky as (from aged) memory it went in distinct stages....

Yates and Pinot blowing up is frustrating and making for a tight finish. Hope I can hang on.

Fellicitations to Cardiff Ajax as they took the pink by over 300 points.

The podium is as follows

Cardiff Ajax 8060 pts 405th

Super Confrex 7726 pts 794th

Lee Van Cleat 7531 pts 1179th

Two other teams finished in the top 10%, Sexual Wheeling 1194th and Laudrup 1664th

Bagpuss who won the Lantern Rouge in the FISO League managed a mid-table finish in the Overall Velogames League.

Good Show Lads.
