14 Novak Djokovic Q3
16 Andy Roddick Q1
33 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Q4
40 Lleyton Hewitt Q1
66 Tommy Haas Q3
80 Fernando Verdasco Q4
80 Robin Soderling Q4
100 Fernando Gonzalez Q2
100 Marin Cilic Q3
100 Tomas Berdych Q1
150 bar
So if bookies have got it right, semi-finals will be:
- Roddick v Murray
- Djokovic v Federer
Women
19/10 Serena Williams Q4
5/2 Venus Williams Q2
15/2 Victoria Azarenka Q4
12 Dinara Safina Q1

Only three of the top ten teams in the FISO mini-league have five of these eight potential semi-finalists...

Re: Wimbledon Dream Team 2009
Brilliant game going on at the mo between my man Cilic, and Tommy Haas. Two sets all, 5 all in the 5th, fading light, breaks of served, saved match points, failiures to serve out the set!!! Excellent stuff

Bartoli was the big let-down for me today.

Re: Wimbledon Dream Team 2009
I've sort of adjusted my expectations for this comp now.
I'm now thinking the FISO league wooden spoon would be a worthy result.
In fact that was my aim all along.

I have also lost Stosur already today . Not looking good now. If Cilic doesnt beat Haas, i'll have lost a more players than i would like going into week two

Re: Wimbledon Dream Team 2009
Not doing a great job so far of keeping up with last year's second place in the FISO league! Only the three players left in the ladies singles, but stronger in the men's draw, and pleased to see Haas through earlier on, so should hopefully move up the table to a bit more of a respectable position in the second week. Annoyed with the gamble on Safin rather than going for Berdych who I had until the last minute, and who is looking useful!

If you've seen an "Arvind Parmar's Trophy Cabinet" floating around - that's me.
Been around the top of the overall Men's Team list, was 1st on Tuesday!
Not joined up to this league though. Didn't realise FISO had one!

PS Never got an answer to my earlier Q on this thread - can anyone shed any light on why the position my team is apparently in on my homepage bears no resemblance to the overall leaderboard?

Im guessing that, like me, no-one has experienced any problems (I've played almost every slam for the past 2 years). Have you tried contacting them?el_pappje wrote:PS Never got an answer to my earlier Q on this thread - can anyone shed any light on why the position my team is apparently in on my homepage bears no resemblance to the overall leaderboard?

Nigel, your team looks correct to me.
You should note that they havent updated scores for most of Saturdays matches. You have 82 points still to recieve for Murray, Roddick + Hewitt if im not mistaken.
I guess they're taking most of the weekend off...

Re: Wimbledon Dream Team 2009
That's what I get, too - but then if I look at the "Leaderboard" I don't appear in the place where my pts score would get me, and I don't appear either where my place is mentioned as. That is what is confusing me, but with it being my 1st time I wonder if I have missed something. It doesn't matter ultimately for my works competition, but for personal knowledge I'd like to know how I am faring.nigel1305 wrote:Hi El Pappje

Re: Wimbledon Dream Team 2009
I fear I've blown this. Been away for a long week-end, not seen any tennis, or any sport.
Came back last night & I've lost most of my players.
Never mind. I've had my moment of glory at the top of the leader board.
Roll on next year.

Access to Wimbledon
el-pap: access and data is fine here; may be worth querying issue directly with administrators?
For info, theres no need to log on to view leaderboards or own team.
Once mini-league is identified, simply use it to gain access to all other info.

Exactly the same here. I was #1 overall at one point but had been falling away. I'd only lost 5 players before the weekend but now I'm pretty much spent.Shaggy365 wrote:I fear I've blown this. Been away for a long week-end, not seen any tennis, or any sport.

Re: Wimbledon Dream Team 2009
I thought before todays play that No1 court was the place to be - how Federer was on centre instead of Roddick v Hewitt is beyond me!
The Williams sisters get pushed around all courts while Fed is always on centre court even when is matches dont look that exciting!
