US Open Dream Team

Post by bagpuss »

Tennis For Free are running a US Open tournament along the same lines as their Wimbledon game:

I've set up a mini-league for anyone who's interested (just for fun - no prizes involved)

Yeah - it seems theres generally only an interest in tennis for two weeks of the year!

I've definitely made a better start than in the Wimbledon comp - especially on the womens side. Looks like it could be quite a close battle :)

Great stuff from scopsm so far!! Average for my lot - 1054 total in 50th position - but hopeful of climbing if my men can stay in. In Womens it all depends on Williams sisters for me, i fear they may end up knocking out most of my gals and I have neither of them! Need them both to lose in the quarters.

1 Roger Federer 80
2 Rafael Nadal 76
3 Novak Djokovic 88
4 James Blake 77
5 Nikolay Davydenko 96

Still looking good in mens table scopsm!

Overall table is very tight, I trail you by 10 points with our remaining players identical bar I still have Henin standing. A victory for the little belgian should me sneak ahead of you at the death. Think we both in with a chance of a top 10 finish though.

I finished 16th overall in the end.
Yes, Cam23, you sneaked in there at the end to get 11th.

You didn't do too bad, 107th, Bagpuss.

My Men's team finished 3rd overall so not a bad effort.

FISO Forum finished 5th overall in Mini-League table, would have been 2nd if you were in Mini-League, Cam23

Good effort in mens mate!

I would have joined FISO mini-league had I remembered in time and I was with you guys in spirit all along so think we can claim 2nd in that one.

Actually, the league in first place had only one member so isnt really a mini-league? Guess that means we can claim a moral victory in mini-league comp!
