Can i ask why you're running one? Just out of interest are you looking to run other games possibilywith entry fees and prizes?

I used to run fantasy competitions for people round the office at work. Then as people left, I was asked if I still ran them, so I progressed to emailing them the entry form. The next progression was putting it on the web, and that's where I am now.

I could still do it for people I know, but I would only get around 15-20 entries, and I just think it makes for a better competition with 80-100 entries. I think it's better if you have a good week/match/game that you could move up the table 20 places, rather than 1 or 2.

So in answer to your question, I always run them. I ran a cricket world cup one with 291 entries, but I only knew about 25 of them. It doesn't matter if I don't know who won. I actually came 37th out of 291, or would have come 7th out of 25. Which do you think sounds better?

With regard to entry fees, I have found in the past that people that I ask to particicpate will do so more readily if it doen't cost them any money. Also if it is free, then I don't run the slight risk of any gambling regulations that there may be, so free it is now & free it will probably stay.
