It would be nice to give this league a new name to differentiate it from "The FISO 12". As its your puppy any thoughts AKNel?

You have touched on something that irritates me more than any other saying.

"On his day" "On their day"

My blood boils when i hear people say "On his day he is a world beater" or "on their day they can beat anyone"

Well of cause the bloody well can "its their day!"

Its the stupidest saying in sports. Promice me you will never use it again. If you use it to RMT i will be forced to spam the forum with last years superbowl pictures and other things to make you cry.

Without wanting to start another poll the best I can come up with is

FISO's Dirty Dozen

Anybody got anything better

nastynursesxi wrote:good draft......heres the end product for the Nasty's!!!

QB: Brady (NE), Brunell (WAS)

Brady and the Pats could well be on the slide. Decent pick but you'll regret not taking a RB.

Brunell is a nice safety valve

RB: Jordan (OAK), Droughns (CLE), Bell (DEN), McAllister (NO)

First 3 are poor picks IMO wouldn't be surprised if they all fail to hit 1000 yards. Deuce is interesting, good upside if the knee holds up and if he can keep Reggie riding the Pine

WR: Holt (STL), Driver (GB), Smith (DEN)

3 solid veterans, a few years ago this would have been fiercesome, unfortunately we're not playing Retro NFL FF

TE: Troupe (TEN), Putzier (HOU)

Awful

K: Feely (NYG)

He kicks outdoors, on grass, in a windy stadium and has a penchant for missing gamewinners.

DEF: Falcons, Bengals

2 nice picks but you don't win NFL FF with defence

I might be hanging on the waiver wire over the next couple of days to try and make a few minor changes, but I'm happy enough with the overall makeup of the team. Good luck to everybody.

There are worse teams, unfortunately for you there are better teams too.

Thanks for the constructive criticism....I've made a few moves on the waiver to flesh out my team at RB and WR....I can't wait until the season begins....I'll start preparing your humble pie over the next week or so ;-)

Vanderjagt may get cut from Dallas roster

Dominick Davis to miss the start of the season, Texans decision to pass on Reggie Bush beginning to look more and more ridiculous :o

Added "The Dirty Dozen" to the Hall of Fame and i have introduced new categories for best record, highest & lowest weekly points and biggest margin of victory.

Sadly we were never ones for posting tables and weekly scores in the past so apart from last seasons overall records the remainder are empty ready for this year :D

Yeah I have noticed they are up......but I think the Guru has had a tough day. It has ranked both of my starting receivers (C Chambers & J Horn) at 0!

I know that its probably a screw up on nfl.com's part.....but now Im paranoid that both players have major injuries that im not aware of.

I see Steve Smith also has got the zero treatment!

viddleodge wrote:well, i got;

Manning, Peyton QB IND
...Kitna, Jon QB DET

Peyton is, well he's Peyton, arguably the only QB who should be drafted in R1.

Kitna's a gamble - good luck

Dunn, Warrick RB ATL
Williams, Cadillac RB TB
...Addai, Joseph RB IND

Nice pair of starters although Dunn may lose goalline carries to Duckett. Addai is another gamble, may be next year before he usurps Dominic Rhodes

Fitzgerald, Larry WR ARI
Curtis, Kevin WR STL
...Clayton, Michael WR TB
...Jones, Matt WR JAC

Fitzgerald is good he makes Kurt Warner look good, no easy task these days. Curtis is a bit risky if as suggested the Rams go Rush happy. The other two are potentially good, maybe very good.

Crumpler, Alge TE ATL
...Smith, Alex TE TB

Lumbering Alge will post good points for a TE.

Elam, Jason K DEN

Always a good pick, kicking at altitude means his kicks fly further, which will get him an extra 6-10 FG successes every season.

Panthers, DST DST CAR
...Redskins, DST DST WAS

A couple of nice DST's

pretty happy with that other than the wide receivers. hmmm.
looking forward to the first game, @ peterborough alchemy.

Life could get tricky when you have to start bringing in the backups.

good luck all.
thanks for the review aknel1. :)
i switched out kevin curtis for matt jones for the first week as the former had some recent concussion concern (just like my t e in the other league - hmm, don't these guys wear helmets to prevent that? :? ) but he did play in the last pre-season game they had. still, guru gave him 2 less than m jones and i think guru might've got that one correct. :)

anyway,
good luck all.
