Well, you play each team in your own division home and away which leaves 10 other regular season games for each team. Divisions are paired on a rotating basis season by season and I think you just play the teams from one division in the opposite conference each year, not sure if the rotation is fixed but it means teams from opposite conferences will only meet every four years on average.blahblah wrote:Apparently these two Franchises only play every 3-4 years. Ah, I thought there was some sort of equalizing ranking thing going on with top teams playing other top teams.... I think there's an element of that as well, where say teams who won their division last season play other division winners - maybe only 2 or 3 games though and probably within same conference.blahblah wrote:Ah, I thought there was some sort of equalizing ranking thing going on with top teams playing other top teams.... Many years ago when I was more into this, I thought that was how it worked ie a Ranking thang to help the pants Francises win a few matches by playing each other...forestfan wrote:I think there's an element of that as well, where say teams who won their division last season play other division winners - maybe only 2 or 3 games though and probably within same conference.blahblah wrote:Ah, I thought there was some sort of equalizing ranking thing going on with top teams playing other top teams.... In any case, you don't play an individual team from the other conference very often!
