FISO ESPN Season 8

Post by Rick Spangle »

Hello again :)

Never too early to start thinking about NFL - so I've fired emails off to all of last year's players. Great response so far, 11 replies - all signing on for another year. Just waiting at the moment for Portsmouth Pirates to reply.
And (while I remembered) I've got rid of the 10-point advantage for home playoff teams. Not changing anything else at the moment, unless anyone has any specific requests?

Draft date will ideally be a Sunday pm - preferably for me the 24th August, but we can liaise on that a little later.

Rick.

Do we still have draft pick trading for the draft in place? If so, I vote to get rid of it.

Giants - thanks for reply, original post now edited.
Mark - draft trading currently not allowed - and I agree with you, I can do without it.

Thanks, I'll put you down as 1st reserve if Portsmouth Pirates fail to turn up. Plenty of time for him to reply though, I have a feeling he's one of the oldest, if not a founder, member of the league so I'm assuming he'll be back.

Portsmouth Pirates are back for another year so we've got an unchanged league :D

Next order of business - draft date/time. I think the easiest way to do it is to put a poll up on the ESPN league homepage with a few options. (Which incidentally is here http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/leagueoffi ... ueId=40558" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

Also, any other ideas that people have with regards to tweaking any settings, please post them here (or there).
Just to confirm, I've removed the 10 point start for home teams in the playoffs due to resounding objections!

Draft now set at 9pm UK time, 24th August - thanks to those who voted, and I hope that those who preferred another date or time can still make it along.

Also, a keeper reminder - two keepers must be selected by 5pm on draft date - if no keepers have been selected, you'll end up with my choice of your two players (don't worry, I'll be sensible  )

Cornish Tinners and Forest Tigers both leaving it a little late to select mandatory keepers - perhaps you could let me know if you're aware of the deadline and just using all available time?

Draft all done - thanks for your attendance.
Please remember to update your trading blocks - I've started the ball rolling, listening to offers for Eddie Lacy.
