Well, Bungles always looked weak (though probably not 0-9 bad), but other three all looked contenders. PIT with Big Ben and their defence would have been play-off bankers. Cleveland are the big letdown of course...

Yeah, he might still chance coming out early and potentially falling in the draft due to being an injury question mark, or return to college and prove his fitness. Either way’s a gamble, but probably won’t go #1 next April in any case.

The others seem more divisive prospects, who have either dropped off from last year or shot up the potential draft board from nowhere. It might be that this year’s QB crop has as many doubts about it as this year’s did.

Well, there’s certainly a benefit to dropping down and waiting for your chance in a decent team (see Rodgers, Mahomes etc.) The financial hit isn’t as big as it was in Aa-Rod’s day either.

Miami failing to tank properly might now be to their benefit, they could trade their picks this time around and make an even more blatant run at it next season... as I said all along though, if you want to pick first then don’t have Fitzmagic as your stopgap QB because he will win you four or five games somewhere along the line, even if he loses you a number of others!

Interesting to listen to the debate about Jimmy G given he’s on big money but they don’t have to fully commit long term until end of the season... winning team or not, if he’s playing like a mid-range starting QB but getting paid like an MVP candidate, as seems to be the case, there’s going to be a decision to make. Obviously depends on what other options are available, you don’t ditch a serviceable starter without a plan when you’re a playoff-calibre team, but if the right fit comes along in trade/free agency who knows?
