Looks like Slade had a good game, I assume no-one brought him in. Will that mean he'll take Carter's place now ?
Slade was poor, his kicking very poor. Absolutely no way he'll get in ahead of a fit Carter.

invent a fantasy game where your position is determined on subs left Sp4, I think they call it starting XI's? true you are ahead on merit as unless your sub turns into a sending off you're winning but the table never lies :D

NZ will be sweating on getting Carter fit,as Slade looked a bag of nerves throughout, which is hardly surprising really considering the millions of eyes on his every action in seeking to fill Carter's boots

Keep it going Chuck and Sp4,you're both doing swell so far, assuming neither of you have been using up your subs to get there.

If Ireland win this game today, either Australia or South Africa are going out in the Quarters, and Wales or Ireland will make the semis.

So watch those transfers!

Gone with Steyn just as its v Namibia then will keep him v Samoa as I see that game being very kick dominated (do I sound like I know what I'm talking about?)

Noticed a couple of team names in the top 10

6th Chucks Champs
10th TAYLORMADE XV

:D

10 Herc6 Alan Laidlaw Kangaroo Stew 14 5 183

And yes before you point out Sp4 I have used 11 transfers  , I really could do with some advice on how many transfers are advisably left for the Quarters now, seeing as there's a third place playoff it's just those eliminated in the Quarters to be wary of right and seeing as defensive players generally pick up 2's or 3's it's not essential they are swapped about, please help

I'd worry that the third place game might just be a run-out for those players who've not got much game time, so I'd be wary of thinking of it as a 'normal' game.

I see the 4th round of games as the round where least transfers need to be used, I'm hoping those at the top continue their 5 per round rate and waste plenty in the 4th round as I see little value there.

Must admit that I've been a little lazy with this - it's bloody hard getting up in time to watch! But, I think keeping back transfers will pay dividends later on.

Maybe, but Ireland will be a full strength for their game against Italy, which is the last game of the round. They will then (if they win) be playing the first game of the Quarters so bring Ireland players in for that last game might gain you a match over other teams' players.

@Tac - it suits me down to the ground as I get into work just before 7am and can sit and watch the last 2 games of the morning :D

@Sp4 - I had actually considered the Ireland thing but it would probably mean an extra transfer used and going into the Quarters with 4 transfers :?

Thanks guys, still along way to go though, just hope my plans work out

I cannot express how little I knew about Rugby going into this, a lesson to all that a lot of research mixed with a set strategy from the off can pay dividends (likewise with my near miss in the Euro U21s - I knew nothing)
