No super league prizes on offer again so...

Name - FISO 6 Nations 2016

Password - Twickenha

All welcome but be warned, it's being run by a set of clowns and will undoubtedly be a shambles.

Silentmanager have already messed it up.
There are no Scottish scrum halves in the list, as Laidlaw is listed as a stand off.
No doubt they will change it just before the start and most teams will be invalid - just like they did with the RWC where most back row forwards were listed as second rows.
Lets hope they dont make a mess of the transfer allocation again as they absolutely ruined the fantasy RWC by decimating any team that used up the allocation that was showing on their team page.

Just had a response from Silentmamager who are blaming OPTA for stipulating that Greig Laidlaw is a Fly Half.
They have already turned the IrishTimes Fantasy Rugby into a joke.
As those who played the various RWC fantasy games will realise is that Laidlaw as scrum half is one of the most influential players in the game as he is also the kicker. So all the skill from utilising him along with the fly halfs has been nullified.
I cant believe OPTA could possibly have made that error.
As such there is no Scottish scrum half in the IrishTimes fantasy game with the only Scottish scrum half over the last 4 years being listed in a position he wont be playing in.
I cant believe a company whose sole purpose is running fantasy competitions can be so inept in every one they run.

Chroma (Silentmanager) will be charging the Irish Times 10's of thousands of pounds for this service - it would be nice for them to get the basics right.
I think the Irish Times are amazing in their offering of free fantasy sport competitions, they are around the most most generous supporters of Golf and Rugby.
It is a shame that their competition is being blighted by Chroma, who are running it for the first time.

If it is their first time, then give them a chance.
Their scoring system for the kickers opens up other chances. It must be noted they lose points for missing.
They probably didn't want every team to have Laidlaw at scrum half. Hence the position change.
Whether that is a good decision or not remains to be seen.

Chroma have been doing fantasy rugby for years for other customers, and during the RWC messed up the transfer allocations so bad, it ruined the competition.
They have historically made regular errors, to the extent some people in FISO wont play any fantasy competitions run by them.

Well I'm playing. I expect a laugh and a cry as another forward of mine fails to put downward pressure at the try line.

Irish Times Six Nations 2016

Post by Maldini »

Was always going to happen.

They're nothing if not inept.

The Irish Times will regret using them when their website hits start disappearing!

They've completely ruined the Mail football to the point of making it virtually unplayable this season. I'd be surprised if there was more than 1000 active managers in that now.

You seem a good egg Bodders, but seriously, just don't play then? Some of us will play and enjoy nonetheless. Please don't ruin the thread with whining throughout the six nations eh?

I thought the forum was a place that you could voice your opinions, and since the competition hasnt started yet, there is little that we can comment on apart from the structure of the fantasy competition. This is after all an Irish Times Six Nations 2016 thread
:) - honestly I am never normally grumpy, and I have said what I think about Chromas ability to run fantasy competitions. I fully intend to enjoy for what it is along with the whole 6 nations.
This certainly isnt something I will dwell on once it starts, however I thought it was pertinent in the build up.
I am happy for you to voice any opinion you wish throughout.
I apologise if people feel I have ruined the thread through criticism/whining.
