Rafa has hinted strongly that certain players might be rested. I'm guessing Gerrard and probably kewell (went off injured on sat) are likely candidates...

Thanks for the Tip off. I was planning my last few transfers tonight to take Full advantage of the Extra games as Both teams are in the Final as well.
Will plan all my Options and then will be checking the team news before clicking that button. Superleague is virtually sown up now but have just dropped back out of the top 1000 after a dreadful 2 weeks and want to try and finish back in there for my highest ever finish if poss.

Me too, well chuffed with myself on that one.
Couldn't decide between Samaras or Vassell but remember someone saying that people always score on their old stomping ground. Normally when i bring players in they get sent off or injured so this makes a nice change.

Ok enough gloating.... :P

It usually doesn't become a sticky straight away (it's been set up quite early due to the Tuesday match).

Not suprised there, he would probably have got it if it had been a first time shot but not after Cisse moved it.

Didn't see the game, was the MOTM for Cisse deserved, or was it just a brace=hatrick scenario again?

Also I hope from the recent TFF survey that has gone out, that we are all saying No More MOMs next season!

Surveys are only useful if they do anything with them.

How many people said MOM's were a good idea last year. Not many I would guess, but that doesnt stop them doing them, because they are there to sell papers .

they won't be getting rid of MOM at all. They don't love us or care enough about keeping the game pure.

The MIGHT reduce it to 3pts though, and i think that's really the best we can hope for.

What survey?
This may refer to the online questionnaire. Extract of email received on Wed 26 April:

"Dear Telegraph Fantasy Football Panel member,

Our latest survey is now available - we really appreciate receiving your views. This is your chance to tell us about the football stories that matter, etc...

Please click on the link below to access the survey -
xxx (removed, as includes team code)
If you have any queries please click here: telegraph@edigitalresearch.com

Telegraph Sports Marketing Manager"

One of the questions is:

Which of the rules from the Premiership Telegraph Fantasy game would you change for the World Cup?
(Tick all that apply)
- No more Man of the Match
- Bonus points for players winning a match
- More choices of formations, 3-5-2, 4-2-4 etc
- Include penalty shoot-outs
- Ignore penalty shoot-outs
- Limit the number of players chosen from each country
- None, keep the same rules

Btw, wonder who was first to suggest TFF compromise of three points for man/match?
This seems to have been taken up by quite a few on these boards...

I didn't sign up for that panel cos it sounded like they wanted to ask about football stuff (e.g. who should be England manager) and I couldn't be bothered with that....
