Drogba won't get a KC despite his good work in tackling back, Lampard was too far out when he received the ball and it wasn't even a first-time shot.

I think its odds on that the Sunderland keeper will get it, but I guess you are waiting for official confirmation to update your site.
I got the Saturday paper

No surprise - it was Kelvin Davies
Can confirm it was printed in the Saturday Telegraph I saw
There isn't even a report in the Saturday Telegraph that I have

The match reports I heard said that pompey dominated the game and Charlton only came to life in the last 15 mins. So common sense would suggest it unlikely that Bent or any other Charlton player will get MotM. But as MotMs aren't normally decided on common sense you never know our luck

Sporting life text commentary only mentions him three times in the first half and six times in the second, including getting booked. Not exactly the stuff you'd expect from a MotM.

And now my thoughts on today's KCs after watching MOTD.

*** Now confirmed with TTF ***

Charlton 2-1 Portsmouth
D'Alessandro (-)
Hughes (Bent) Ambrose not given
Bent (Hreidarsson)

Chelsea 3-0 Everton
Lampard (-)
Drogba (Lampard)
Essien (-)

Middlesbrough 2-0 West Ham
Hasselbaink (Bates) Maccarone not given
Maccarone (-) Johnson not a TFF player

Sunderland 1-4 Newcastle
Hoyte (Whitehead)
Chopra (Bramble)
Shearer (-)
N'Zogbia (-)
Luque (-) N'Zogbia not given

Tottenham 1-2 Man United
Rooney (van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo)
Rooney (Park)
Jenas (-)

West Brom 0-0 Bolton

Hopefully TTF won't be too late updating tomorrow, but there have been just a few matches to input ...

As a fantasy football player who has stuck by Bent for a while (though I must admit I relished the promise of him with three matches in a week against Middlesborough, Portsmouth and whoever) I feel let down at the stupid decision he made to do it.

Ok, Im bitter. I finish the week on 99!

I'm surprised at Bent, although he did obviously change the result in the last 15 minutes, and I have him in my best team so I'm definitely not complaining.

Rooney again?

I was supporting his MOTM awards early in the season but this one is madness. Non existent for much of the game, and must have got tackled about 20 times in the second half (and by SPURS defenders!  ). Park gave Lee a torrid time, same for Ronaldo on the other side, very surprised one of those two didn't get it. Actually probably not that surprised.

Also thought it could easily have gone to Dawson or Lennon. He terrified the United defence first half especially.

That MOTM award is bollocks. How many does Rooney have now?

Ronaldo wasn't that special in my opinion and not much end product other than the goal. Michael Dawson was easily best player, both in defence and getting forward.

I agree with the previous MOTM comments to a point about the Man U game though to be fair Rooney done most to win a very important game.

Gooners

Er, Rooney scored two goals, for which he will be awarded 10 TFF points, so that element of the match has already got it's reward. He did very little else to justify another 5 points on top. The whole point of MOTM was to pick up the best all round player from each game, be it tackling, defensive headers, great creativity, whatever. Giving him MOTM for yesterday is basically rewarding him twice for the same thing.

Setting a goal up and scoring the winner to bring
your side a victory from one nil down deserves MotM

So does scoring twice away from home to put your team 2 0 up

For the first time in a while I agree with ALL
of yesterday's picks

That's supposed to be the idea, and if that was the case Dawson was the man. But we're used to why people get the awards now and Rooney did exactly what TFF wanted him to. Apart from the goals, well taken btw, and being a slight nuisance he was pretty quiet.

I am surprised at Drogba tho, even if I can't offer anyone else who nailed it - maybe Lampard if anyone but he was quietish too.

Can't comment on any others except Carra, he deserved it.

Precisely. Its now getting to the stage where your second goal = ten points.

In fact I'd rather see that as a new scoring system rather than continuing with MOTM......
