Agree about Dawson but there was no MOTM for Henry either, who was clearly better than everyone else :( :? :)

Without having checked back on recent weeks there seems to be a movement towards avoiding MOTM awards going to obvious candidates wherever possible. And this week at least away from defenders.

Anyone think MOTM could be ditched from next seasons game?

Ive got my fingers crossed!

On a funny side point can anybody match my 5 red cards this season?

Mido v Chelsea

Dawson v Fulham

Robben x 2

Gallas

McFadden by Martin Smith
Davis (Sun) by Mark Ogden
From the games I actually saw this weekend

I thought Ronaldo ripped WBA to bits, Saha scored a unchallenges header and a shin roller from a superb Ronaldo run and through ball and gets it. Wish they had given it to VDS for an extra 5 for me.

Also thought Dawson was Man of the Match in the spurs game (don't have him so no bias)

Agree with Malbranque, not convinced with the crouch call but it could of been 1 from 3 or 4 liverpool players

Others from the reports / 5 live

Apparently Henry run the show at higbury along with good performances from Hleb and Adabthingy, Nolan was the driving for behind Bolton's win (saying that Davies also got glowing reports), Can't really comment on the City / West Ham games apart from laughing at David James.

Only game I saw enough of to commentwas Liverpool's. Crouch was possibly the correct call, certainly not a bad one although there were other contenders (Carra, Gerrard and Warnock for 3)

PS Made me laugh when I heard the stadium announcer said teh sponsors had given MOTM to Solano. Even ignoring the home bias, I cant say I'd even noticed he was on the pitch.......

Steve Davis of Villa didn't get a KC for Villa's goal at Everton.

that's the home sponsor, so it automatically goes to a toon player.

to be honest, i'd be stumped to pick any one of them out. i think he should had given it to boumsong just for comedy value... :)

Carrick got a KC for one of the Tottenham goals. Haven't seen the footage so I don't know which one. Nice little bonus for me though!

reds363 wrote:Bram you're excellent and you will probably end up right, but there are many of your judgements from last night I'd like to make points about:
Bramernic wrote:Pires (Adebayor, Henry)
Agbonlabor (Davis, Hendrie)
I agree Adebayor probable and Davis possible, but they weren't defence-splitting passes, nor one-touch moves so I'm not sure.
Bramernic wrote:Keane (Jenas)
Carrick KC too for his ball behind the defence to Jenas?
Bramernic wrote:Osman (Arteta)
Similarly for Cahill for his ball to Arteta?
Bramernic wrote:Nolan (Davies, Borgetti)
Wasn't it Speed's header, not Borgetti? (All the reports yesterday said Speed, I just missed it on MOTD2 to check)
Bramernic wrote:Lua Lua (Taylor, prob O'Brien)
It was O'Neil, not O'Brien, I'm sure on this one. (And only a probable KC because of Scaloni's rubbishness in running out past the ball allowing it to count as a defence-splitting pass)
Sorry, missed this post as it arrived at the same time as mine last night. It looks like I've had a bad week predictions wise. Davis has already been ruled out according to those who have him in their team. At the time I thought Jenas and Arteta did too much, but on a further review yes, Carrick may get one. Cahill I still don't think will. Yes, it was Speed - they both look alike but I've now spotted Borgetti watching from the far post, and I give up on O'Brien/O'Neil - they both begin with O'

With hindsight I might have been better off going to bed and watching it Sunday morning instead

I wasn't at the game, but MotD showed Saha dropping deep and linking up well. Put Giggsy thru with a great ball that he shoulda scored from.

I had my fingers crossed on Saha getting MotM because scoring 2 goals is not always enough, but they were 2 chances well taken - even with a shin (cannot say I noticed that tho!). Ronaldo would have to have been awesome to nick it I imagine.

All KCs checked from Saturday.

Carrick DID get a KC.
Middlesbrough's Davies isn't a TFF player.
Aston Villa's Davis didn't get a KC.
Portsmouth's O'Neil didn't get one (after all the trouble identifying him).

Otherwise as predicted. Original post has been updated to show correct awards.

I have none of these players so it matters not to me but isnt there a serious inconsistecny here, I dont really see the difference between the passes from o'Neil/Carrick or even Cahills.

Maybe arteta had a bit more to do hence no KC there but arent the other two identical :?: :?

1-0 to WHU

Ashton

Very slim chance of harewood KC for the 1-2? Tough one to call, anyone? Commentators on tv are saying it was a great touch by harewood but tbh it looked a bit jammy to me!
