I'm taking it Barton won't get the KC?

I saw the replay and I think it was a Charlton player who headed it to Dunne - not quite sure...

You're right - he won't get one as his cross was headed out to Dunne by a Charlton defender

I wonder of Ronaldo will get another MoM tomorrow?

If he does it will be 39 points in his last 2 games, regardless of getting another MoM it will be 34 - a remarkable turn around in this FF points fortunes!

He looks like a good option for the remainder of the season if you can squeeze him into your team.

Glad I stuck with D. bent through Charlton's drop in form.

He really has proved great VFM. :D

Shame the same can't be said for Danny Murphy.

In his post match interview, Van Nistelroy also said that Lua Lua was man of the match so that shouldnt really be a shock. Even for the players on the pitch his feet were a joy to watch apparently...

Agreed. Lua Lua was the best player on the day. Ronaldo will probably get it though simply because his team won

wow, i didn't know that. Pretty shocked that he still played tbh :(

on another note: slim slim chance of a kc for Ruud for the 3rd goal? He played a pretty neat pass into rooney before rooney gave it to ronaldo. I know it's a pretty slim one, but you never know.

Please tell me you're joking. Obviously I have him (me and the rest of the FF world) but he had a shocking game Saturday. Possibly only Alonso was worse for Liverpool (and for anyone who never saw it, Alonso really was much much worse. Never gives the ball away? Reckon...  )

Can anyone confirm these MOTMs from the newspaper?
That Gerrard one is bloody ridiculous. The WORST decision this season. He had his worst game so far, didn't create anything and missed the net a few times. Carrager/Hyppia/Finnan were good in defence. It's an F###ING disgrace.
....and i've dropped Gerrard

I am bit bit surprised by the Gerrard award (again) but it was a largely average match, and I guess he did stand out with some of his runs, crosses etc.

Hey, who am I trying to kid, I don't care as he's in my team!

P.S. Not that it means anything but he was the MOTM for the ITV teletext reporter.

I have Gerrard in both my teams but I have to say to give him MOM is the biggest joke ALL SEASON. It makes a complete mockery of the whole game and justifys those who say MOM has spoiled the game.
I watched the match on sky and Hyppia for me was MOM, didnt miss anything at the back, scored, got MOM from virtually every other media source, come on telegraph sort it out.
If the reporters cant be arsed to do a fair job then dont bother at all. Its pathetic.
I have done a poll on the next thread, I bet no more than 5% of people vote yes!

Will we ever learn? Criticise the idea of subjective MotM selections, fine, but criticising the results of highly subjective picks is pointless. In effect doing so says that MotM selections is a good idea if only the reporters knew what they are talking about. But regardless of reporter competence, it isn't a good idea!!
