be too much of a problem)

As for me I will be there !!!!

That is it for these threads until August 11th

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on KCs and MotMS with the FISO regulars (and the newbies and the lurkers)

Essien maybe in terms of the play itself, but they might give it to Drogba simply because he scored the only goal and no one was magnificent. (I don't agree with them doing that, but it happens often).

They'll probably go for Drogba as being the goalscorer, and he did also make some key interventions in the other penalty area too. I'd like to see it go to someone who wasn't involved in the goal though. Most of the match was pretty dire, but I was mesmerised for a moment by Rooney's run from one penalty area to the other, seemingly never without a Chelsea player in attendance, yet no-one else mattered. If he'd managed to score it would have been talked about for years to come.

Hmmm, not quite all day...

Welcome to FISO by the way - not many people make their first post on the last day of the season, normally they flood on in August.

Drogba for MOM (I hope). There has to be a MOM story for the reporter to work in - tireless worker, heart of a lion, won his titanic clash with Vidic, moment of magic at the end capped a fantastic season.

Never had anything to day before.

Ok drogba scored once, yes it was the only goal and won the game, but vidic was there all the time, giggs should have scored also would we say he should have got MOTM, don't think so, cech made a few saves, hey not great ones as I recall both from rooney who probably pushed the ball to far aheadr, MOTM shouldm't be about a playe doing 1 or 2 things right in a game it should be about his all over performance in the match. For me vidic done more things right in that game than anyone on the pitch. Ok sure I do have him in my team.

cheers

It has got to be Cech or Terry.
They were the difference.
I thought Man Utd were the better team, but Chelsea's defence kept them out.

I think Cech would be the right decision, but my head says Terry.

Agree with that myself. Drogba did well, and he was at the end of the day the match winner. Cech did make some good saves though but other than that i don't think there was anybody else in contention. Terry didn't do anything to my knowledge to deserve it?

How about Paul Scholes?

He was by far the best player on the pitch for me. He looked a bit fabregasy at times with his pinpoint passing and we all know how much the telegraph like fab.
