Dubious KC's? YTM have awarded Gary Speed a KC for Bolton's second goal against Chelsea - Big mistake,it was Idan Tal that took the free kick that Kevin Davies scored from. Have TFF awarded it to Speed?

As it happens, yes.

ALL as predicted (including the possible for Ghaly, but not the possible for Knight*). Nothing for Lampard or Ronaldo.

* I guess it wasn't an attempt at goal itself, but as it was Lehman who palmed it out to Davies I thought it might get one.

Edit: Just noticed they gave one to James.

Can anyone clear this up? It's very hard to see it on Youtube.

Yep pretty hard, the guy who took it was left footed which Speed is, not sure if Tal is left or right footed.

Didn't Tal play for Everton on the left wing, and score from a free kick on the last day of the season a few years back :?:

I've checked the footage and I agree, Speed was the player who tapped back the 1-2 from the free kick for Tal to cross in. Like me, it looks like the KC panel heard the commentator say it was Speed and didn't argue.

Edit: OFL have changed their stats to give Tal the assist.

Just when you think the only dead cert not to get a KC even when totally deserved is from a goalie's kick upfield, they give one to James

Agree it was deserved, but so have several others this season which were never given?

Sorry what I meant was that he has picked up so few points recently that it's just a nice surprise to see him get some. My fault though, wasn't clear from my post what I meant.

(Original post edited - sounded a bit rude, not intended. )

Agreed with Judio - if ever a dummy was permitted to get a KC this would be a fine case for it, but they don't.
