I'm not confident about calling that last one. All i'll say is Lampard put a great ball in, Drogba's first shot way parried from the 'keeper and then i (think) Drogba's second shot then went to Kalou.

However whether or not the defender got a boot to it to negate Lampards KC i'm not sure.

2116: GOAL LIVERPOOL 1-0 MIDDLESBROUGH
It always looked like it would need something special to light up Anfield and Steven Gerrard duly obliges - picking up the ball 40 yards out before taking a step and blasting into the bottom corner from range

Did you have your eyes shut for the Watford goal ....or just wishful thinking for a Blackburn CS :)
Sorry, my baby girl was crying her head off and I didn't catch that goal.

I reckon Drogba will get an assist too, I don't think a defender got a touch.

Kalou (Not sure!) - Too messy, i think Bram and Judio might be needed but i think it'll be Lampard and Drogba.
I dont think Lamps will get one.

Lamps cross Drogba shoots Green saves touch from west ham defender before Drogba rolled it to Kalou.

It'll be whether or not the defender touched it, i'm not sure to be hoenst. Makes it interesting though.

Drogba will get the KC whereas Lampard won't

Drogba managed to roll it into the path of Kalou after having his first shot parried by Green.

Only from LFC website commentary:

2-0
Gerrard pen (probably no KC - Crouch was fouled, sounded like he was going for ball so not in possession)

Motm speculation: (Now confirmed 8-) Lookout Henry Winter!)

Bentley
Gerrard
SWP

Also, Drogba was the only significant booking.

Crouch definitely not in possession of the ball for the pen. Gerrards first goal was described by the commentator as being around 40yds out (seen it online).

gerrard or woodgate for Motm

I can confirm defo no KC for Crouch. Defender had his arm around him when ball was played in and stopped him going for it.

Graham Poll should get a KC for Gerrard's second.

England would be World Champions and happily on the way to Euro 2008 if they received a penalty for every aerial challenge made on Crouch in the penalty area.

If Crouch got all the penalties he should do he'd been the most expensive player in the world. Just think about it, if penalties were awarded fairly, Crouch would be Liverpool's most important player, England's most important player; it's almost freightening.

For reference:

Premierleague.com

Liverpool - Middlesborough (Pennant then Gerrard then Mascherano)
Chelsea - West Ham (Essien then SWP then Drobga)
Blackburn - Watford (Bentley, Samba, Roberts)

and yesterday;

Man U (Ronaldo, Rooney, Carrick)
Arsenal (Fabregas, Rosicky, Eboue)

So the picks for all five games are given to statisically one of the best 2 players on the pitch. So, no real arguments here. (though I have none of the selected 5 picks)

Didn't Giggs get it yesterday?

And are premierleague.com's bonus points given on stats or just by 'some guy'?

You're right; Giggs did get it; my bad. The Premierleague.com ones are given through Opta Stats.

All confirmed on TFFO, including the extra one for Lampard. I'm pretty sure that it's the second time they've given a KC where a player has had two stabs at the ball, but I have to admit that I didn't think they'd give it either last night.

Cheers Bram. One of those 'extra' KCs that really makes no difference at all :?
