I think these are the Official MotMs.

I am looking at the end of each match report from the FA Cup link from the Telegraph website.
It just says 'Man of the Match'

Just checked the web-site myself & would agree that the MOTMs quoted by browny are correct...

"Brynjar Gunnarsson (Reading) "

Now remind me what he actually did ?

Any fair minded football fan wouldve enjoyed the range of skills that Ronaldo showed. Okay , he mist a couple , but he was a class above anything on that (and most others ) pitch .

Guess most have him, so the effect may be minimal anyway.

The same can be said of Friedel . Sure he made on really good double save , but apart from that ...?
Having said that , Barcelonas' (sorry, Blackburn) performance was woeful. And they wonder why fans dont turn up to watch them.

The Telegraph has PRINTED the MAN OF THE MATCHES :D

And to please the Editor who wanted consistency, they have even awarded one for the Plymouth v Derby match as well

Robbie KEANE (Tot) by John Ley
Joey BARTON (Man) by Neil Johnston
Ayegbeni YAKUBU (Mid) by Oliver Brown
Brynjar GUNNARSSON (Rea) by Tim Rich (No Rooney  )
Brad FRIEDEL (Blr) by Martin Smith
Lassana DIARRA (Che) by Clive Tyldseley
Matt Richards (Ips) by David Miller
David Norris (Ply) by Nicholas Spencer

Week off for Henry Winter or is it because of the MOTM fiasco

But ...

KC for Samaras, 2 KCs for Corradi. Looks like they think the first touch wasn't significant for the own goal. I'm off to watch the video again.

Tottenham as predicted, apart from nothing for the Ghaly possible.

Yeah - they'd have been MUCH better off turning up and playing expansive football and conceding 6 again.

It seems that this season, as last, all the MotM decisions have been attributed to specific reporters (or is this boll*cks?), except for the Viduka decision which was clearly not Henry Winter's.

Perhaps someone who has the constant urge to investigate these things could contact the Telegraph and say that they are keeping a record of individual reporters decisions but that they seemed to have a gap in their records just for the Middlesboro/Bristol City game, and being such an anal anorak, they couldn't sleep easy until they had the gap filled in. Consequently they would be extremely grateful if the Tele could provide them with the missing info.

Mark Lawrenson was seeing things. Tele have checked with Arsenal, Bolton and the FA and no-one thinks he was booked.
0 Points for Nolan so he must have been booked after all

Yes, there was a further email later on on Thursday, but my post must have been lost in amongst all the hoohah over the changed motm decision.
