I hope so, but there was a deflection - not significant enough?

I would say no, the deflection was in the tackle on Evra, but the ball seemed to go exactly where Evra intended.

Edit: Hmm, looking at it again, the defender did deflect a low cross at the time of crossing, so it curled in the air. I'd still give it though :)

same here with the half time replay, i think it will be given, but that sort of KC always makes me wonder - how can anyone know where the ball was going before the deflection & whether it was significant for sure?

Must be a very slight chance that Barton will get a KC for his deft flick to Vassell who took one touch and then crossed for Corradi.

Almost as deft as the touch that the nasty little thug applied to Mendes' heel.

I do not think there will be a KC but if there is then surely Rooney will also get one for the ball that played Evra in down the left wing.

Major deflection on the Evra cross, would be very surprised with a KC given for it.

Speed (pen) - no KC, Anelka didn't touch the ball so won't be judged to have been in possession :(

Sorry to have to be picky but you mean 'no KC' rather than 'no assist'. As this is the 'official' thread we may as well get it right.

Do you have to have touched the ball to be judged as being in control as thus being awarded a kc?
