####,

I did phone the man of the match over but it must have been lost in the wash. It was Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United.

I got an e-mail too but not from Tim!

"Dear Mr Lee

Thank you for your recent correspondence.

Ronaldo was awarded the MOTM for last nights game.

Kind regards"

I telephoned reader relations and was given the same information. The tone of voice used suggested that I wasn't the first person to ask.

Ronaldo was the correct decision anyway, even though I really wanted it to be given to Rooney!

Wondering if Drogba had too much of a run for there to be a KC.

Bolton goal - Pedersen (Speed)
Newcastle - Milner (-), Dyer (Milner)
Villa - Young (-)

Not sure there will be no KC on the Lampard goal. I know it's a shot outside the box but the pass before it was attacking rather than hopeful.
Glad to be wrong here on both the Lamps and Drogba ones :)

Villa 1 West Ham 0

Carew (poss. Young)

Carew controlled it past a defender, but only one touch.

Only 1.5 goals per game today, so not much reviewing to do after the event. Here's my view of potential KCs after watching MOTD.

*** Now confirmed on TFFO ***

Aston Villa 1-0 West Ham
Carew (Young)

Blackburn 2-1 Sheffield Utd
Pedersen (Emerton)
Stead (Jagielka, Hulse)
Pedersen (-)

Charlton 0-1 Chelsea
Lampard (-)

Fulham 2-1 Newcastle
Helguson (-)
McBride (Diop)
Martins (Solano)

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Man City 0-2 Reading

Lita (Sidwell)
Lita (Harper)

Middlesbrough 1-1 Arsenal
Yakubu (-)
Henry (Toure, Adebayor)

Watford 0-1 Bolton
Anelka (Speed)

Wigan 1-0 Portsmouth
McCulloch (-)

With Rooneys booking does that mean there is now a 3 - 0 with Henry for Rooney. Thats if Arsenal get past Bolton of course. It actually makes my mind up for me about what to do in the next few weeks.Cheers Wazza

Will Saha get one?! Giggs got the ball outside the box and took one touch before firing home. I guess its a matter of whether giggs was inside the box when he shot?!

(there's not "discussion" thread to put this opinion in today...)

VDS coming off (bust nose looks like) and with no subs left... does that mean only part clean sheet?

VDS being stretchered off, no subs left.
Kneed in the head by Keane.
J O'Shea going in goal.

So as far as TFF concerned I think VDS is still on the pitch?

I think I'm just confused....last weekend somebody said that passes from outside he box (where the goal is shot from outside the box) are "hardly ever given a KC".

I believe you saying Saha is nailed on though.
