Marginal - I'm inclined to think the Gerrard KC will be given.

Thanks Bram.

If he doesn't get it maybe a MotM will come his way. Do think this could be a week where people may have more than 3 MotM's.

let me reiterate.

if DK does not get a KC then i am not suggesting the people who said he won't get it are wrong, merely that the people who decided it are wrong imho (i.e. jez pitman etc.) - having seen many, many similar goals over the years to which two KCs are awarded so that is why I am confused ... the comments as to why he will not are obviously very well based on TFF history and rules of which I am not aware.

I hope you understand what i mean - I mean no ill towards the very knowledgable people here ;-)

night all

Personally while Bramernic is invariably right; I thought that btoh gerrard and Kuyt played each other in perfectly for the goal, and Dawson's touch was so insignificant I can't even see it.

Bram , why do you think Arteta will get a KC ? - hope he does as I put him in one team yesterday , but I thought if the shot was outside the box , then the KC was not generally given ?

Thanks
Graham

Wonder if the Telegraph look here before deciding KCs?

Thought SG should get a KC myself, but i'm always wrong when I disagree with Bram.

Haven't seen anything in the Ts&Cs but are there any points for an MBE. KCs - yes. CSs - yes. Surely MBEs!

Buryboy; think Bramernic's attending Sunday service so perhaps this may help.

Mike and I have had several conversations over the years on this aspect of the Telegraph game. Feel that, generally, a pass received 20 metres from goal can qualify as a key contribution, ie, up to three yards outside the penalty area.

I agree it was hard to see the change in the flight of the ball in the air from the angles given on MOTD. But if you look at the positions Gerrard, Dawson and Garcia were standing when they took their respective touches they were far from in a straight line.

JP - Not sure how you can compare this to the Agbonlahor KC, they are completely different goals.
Matt Taylor's goal yesterday was very similar to Barry's at from Boxing Day though (I assume that is the one you referred to, re. Agbonlahor), so I can see a KC for Andy Cole there.

The deflection in my eyes was significant as the ball changes flight ,and Garcia had to change his footing. I have Gerrard but i don't think it should be a KC.

Yes, forgot about that, that could be key.

I have Gerrard too but agree it would be unfair for him to get this one.

Further explanation to answer various questions.

1) I think Taylor did too much for Cole to get a KC. If he'd hit it first time then yes it would have had a KC, but he bought the defender back into play and had to get past him again.

2) I'm not even convinced that Gerrard was passing to Garcia, but the angle was bigger than other cases where KCs have been denied. Dawson says it all with his reaction, he thought he'd made a purposeful clearance.

3) Neville was only just outside the area and KCs are usually given from that distance.

1st goal hoping for slight chance of Kuyt KC.
Good work from Kuyt before threading pass to Pennant who controlled with 1st touch before crossing in with 2nd touch for Crouch's overhead kick .

Hmm, does sound a bit like a double assist (kuyt, pennant) for the first goal...

I would have thought 2 KC's for Kuyt as well. It was the same as the one Rooney got the other week against Villa, if anything Kuyt did more than Rooney.
