Pamarot (- )
Actually not sure about the assist as the ball came back off the post from a Free kick and Pamarot just headed it in. Someone tried to head it off the free kick, not sure who but it came off the post, not sure if the other Pompey player even got his head to it.

Whoever shot onto the post will get the KC
Someone took a free kick (Taylor?) someone went to header it, probably did get a light touch (David Thompson?) it hit the post and rebounded outand Pamarot scored

Saturday's six Man of the Match deliberations from SUNDAY Telegraph:
Charlton 0 Liverpool 3 - Craig Bellamy
Was always too sharp for the Charlton defence. He formed an electric partnership with Dirk Kuyt and his goal, scored with sublime skill, virtually ended any hope Charlton had of scoring.
Arsenal 2 Portsmouth 2 - Emmanuel Adebayor
Provided the physical presence Arsenal desperately lacked up front in the absence of Thierry Henry and showed his increasing coolness in front of goal.
Newcastle 2 Watford 1 - Hameur Bouazza
His attacking left-sided presence persistently ruffled Newcastle’s rookie right back Paul Huntington and he also leavened Watford’s sometimes depressingly formulaic style with some uplifting moments of skill. Scored a deserved goal from a corner.
Reading 1 Blackburn 2 - Benni McCarthy
It takes a special kind of striker to play on his own up front and McCarthy's performance was a reminder of that fact: largely ineffectual in the first half when on his own, hugely influential in the second half when in partnership with Shabani Nonda.
Wigan 0 Sheffield United 1 - Keith Gillespie
The player known as Bestie provided the quality in an otherwise uncompromising encounter.
Aston Villa 0 Bolton 1 - Jussi Jaaskelainen
The fact that Bolton’s Finnish goalkeeper gets this honour shows just how much Villa were on top in this game. Made good saves of every variety.

Saturday's Man of the Match footnotes from The Observer:
Charlton 0 Liverpool 3 - Steven Gerrard
The Liverpool captain ran the match and was not reluctant to have a word with a team-mate or make a tackle. His movement was clever, as his positioning for his goal from Crouch's knockdown indicated.
Arsenal 2 Portsmouth 2 - Emmanuel Adebayor
What had been a comfortable afternoon for Portsmouth's defence turned into panic stations the moment the giant from Togo came on. He scored one and helped to set up the other to inspire a thrilling comeback. Wenger cannot afford to keep him out.
Newcastle 2 Watford 1 - Obafemi Martins
The decision was going to Watford's Hameur Bouazza until the 85th minute, but you cannot argue with the two goals that won the match form the Nigerian striker, who has now hit five from four Premiership games.
Reading 1 Blackburn 2 - Benni McCarthy
The South African has long hankered for a move to English football and his style seems well suited to the physical nature of the game here. He has brought some bad European habits with him - such as diving - but his goals will prove vital to Blackburn.
Wigan 0 Sheffield United 1 - Paddy Kenny
Both goalkeepers were virtual spectators in a moribund first half but Chris Kirkland and Kenny had to justify their existence in the second. Kenny's stunning dive set the tone for a period of intense Wigan pressure, which he handled admirably.
Aston Villa 0 Bolton 1 - Gabriel Agbonlahor
Has not missed a minute of first team action this season but he continues to look incredibly fresh, his speed troubling Bolton's Henrik Pedersen throughout. Should have done better with a first half chance but the opportunities he created more than made up for that.
Anyone seen the Sunday Times and Independent verdicts?
