Man-of-the-Match (MOTM): Kuyt

Just got the above details through on email from the Telegraph.....does this mean that Gerard doesnt lose pts for the penalty miss?
Confused!!!
I think that's a glaring oversight on the Telegraph's part. TFFO have recorded a missed penalty, so Gerrard WILL lose the points. The Fulham keeper isn't a TFF player, so he won't get the bonus for saving it.

So Ronaldo blatantly dives and gets a KC. Sharner gets totally took off the ball. Touches smutches. If it weren't for Sharner, no pen. A KEY CONTRIBUTION. Losing faith in this game.

only someone who either hadn't read the rules or didn't have the brain power to comprehend them would think that Sharner was ever going to get a KC for that pen.

Hopefully not. I'm sensing that a key competitor in my super league could leapfrog me if he does.

Didn't think Petrov did enough for MOM, when on the ball he was good but had little involvement in 2nd half - Sutton would get it for me as he was a constant threat but can't rule out Rooney or Huddlestone.

What exactly is wrong with the Huddlestone decision? He has probably been our best player in the last 3 games. It was his clever thinking that created both goals against Middlesborough last week, and the highlights of the Charlton game suggested that he bossed the midfield, not to mention playing a very clever pass that ended up in the opening goal.

The Rooney MOTM however is a joke!

Huddlestone was outstanding. Like Vieira in his prime. He read the play and cut out so many passes. His one mistake which i thought would rob him of MOTM was letting Reid skip past to set up the Charlton goal. All in all though, worthy.

And just to say, I do have Berbatov.

Agree Petrov was fairly quiet 2nd half.

I wouldn't rule out Stuart Taylor getting it for his string of second half saves.

Think Angel could be in trouble for his elbow as well.

Annoyingly the online match report doesn't give the MotM. However, two particular clips suggest that it may be Taylor:

But for Stuart Taylor's brilliance in goal for Villa, United would surely have gained their third home win and their third victory in a row.

With 12 minutes left United were peppering Villa's goal, and twice Taylor made stupendous saves, the second of these from Stephen Quinn.

Ronaldo didnt even dive. He stumbled over and didnt make any appeal to get a pen from it.
