My view after watching the video of MOTD2

*** Now confirmed on TFFO ***

Newcastle 1-2 Bolton
Ameobi (-)
Diouf (Meite, Anelka)
Diouf (Campo, Davies)

Comments below written before confirmation from TFFO

Much as I'd like to have a Meite KC, I can't see it after Anelka took 3 touches. It's similar(ish) to the 3rd Arsenal goal and the thing to bear in mind is that the contribution has to directly influence the goal being scored. The more touches the intermediate player makes, the less influence the earlier cross has on the actual goal, regardless of how good it was.

In a way this also explains the Lampard situation. For him to get a KC you'd have to say that he intended to use the defender on the way to getting a goal. That is obviously ridiculous. I'm not convinced that his free kick was actually on target (and nor is he), so once he hasn't scored (because it's an own goal) you have to look at the significance of the interventions. There is no way Ingimarsson would have scored if it hadn't come off the defender in the wall. That player has actually done his job becasue a ball which might have curled in is now going way wide. Therefore Lampard's kick is no longer key at all.

If Lampard had not shot there would not have been a goal, If they give it or not Im not bothered, but to suggest that Lampard did not have a key contribution towards the event of the goal is wrong, His shot was on target, the defence could not deal with it and Chelsea scored as a result.

Slightly surprised at Giggs getting MOTM as I thought Rooney was outstanding. However it was the introduction of Giggs that was the impetus for United's comeback and he did play very well. Massive boost for United to have him back.

Isn't cesc still in the top 5 (or 10) midfield picks?

Yes, 4th. I have him so I'm also praying for 2 KCs!

Any updates on TFFO regarding KCs yet?

I know this is a newbie question but i am quite new to tff. If i bought a player on sunday morning would his points count if he played on sunday night? or do i have to buy the player before the saturday games?

Transfers have to be done before the first kick off of that day to count - so, yes.

PS Welcome to the forum but read the game rules

If you transferred him in before the earliest kick off on any given day his points will count for that day's fixtures. Not really relevant to this thread though!

Also, I'm guessing AJ didn't get a KC for Cahill's goal but I'm clutching at draws here! Need 2 points to break the 300 mark!!

Sorry pal, jumping the gun! I'm very impatiently waiting with more hope than expectation that either/both Rooney and Fabregas will have more than one KC.
