My view of today's likely KC after watching MOTD2:
*** Confirmed with TFFO ***
Blackburn 0-2 Chelsea
Lampard (-)
Drogba (-)
Aston Villa 2-0 Newcastle
L Moore (-)
Angel (Agbonlahor)
On the Heskey goal, I hear what you're saying, but in the same way that Downing got a KC with a similar sort of deflection in midweek, I don't think it will matter.

So a striker comes on after the game is won and doesn't score; yet gets MOTM. A midfielder is on the losing side by two goals, and he gets it. Wow. Those two suck (Kuyt/Emerton) and yes I am saying that because I had Gerrard and Terry, but hey.Razorback wrote:MOTM's (confirmed on Telegraph site) as follows;

I'm watching the Blackburn-Chelsea match now and I reckon Emerton has played well. I can certainly understand this decision - and it beats just awarding another 3 points to one of the goalscorers.
Nice to see Osman getting some recognition ahead of the media favourite Johnson also.
I'm regretting my decision to leave Ronaldo out - he's killing it at the moment!!!!! He could be my only early transfer.

MOTM BLA v CHE
Can only really comment on the game I saw (BLA v CHE). I think Cech made the difference for Chelsea and for Blackburn Bentley was the biggest threat. Both of which I have no interest in.

The picks might be frustrating but in my view not surprising. The journalist wants to write about debut boy Kuyt, so watches his every move when he comes on, he plays well and hey presto it man of the match. They are journalists writing stories and man of the match is part of 'the story' for them.sadams wrote:Do the daily telegraph actually watch these games or just pick a name out of a hat (they must have loads of ronaldos in there)
giggs was awesome on sat as was gerrard..
to give it to kuyt was a joke!!
At least this annoying subjectivity is only worth 3 points rather than 5 this year.

Kuyt is a bit of a surprise, but then again it wasn't a great game.
Agree with the comment about Osman as he was the one who played a big part in their second goal, although I was half expecting Johnson to get it.
Emerton was hardly outstanding in the game yesterday but then again not too many were, thought maybe Drogba may get it due to his lively cameo.

It's like 'Arry said last night if they get a few injuries they're bang in trouble, they have also had a relatively easy start. Approach with caution.chaser2k4 wrote:Are portsmouth the bargain team of the season , or are they just being lucky! Roll on the bandwagon!browny wrote:Man of the Match: Kanu (Portsmouth)

I don't know, I go out for the day and no-one else can be bothered to post the information.jester wrote:Have the goals / assists been posted for Monday's game yet? Can't see them anywhere...... (Blind maybe?)
I'll confirm the weekend KCs later (it's really slow on dial-up), but these are the details from last night (as that's quite easy):
Goals: Kanu (2), Mwaruwari, Todorov.
KCs: Mwaruwari, Thompson, Davis.
I've no idea which KCs go with which goals as I haven't seen any of them.

OK, here's the deal. I've checked my predictions from Saturday and Sunday and all of them were given (yes, including Scharner and McCulloch). I've also checked where others mentioned names and can confirm nothing for Gerrard, Terry or Essien. If anyone wants to ask about any other players I'll check later tonight, or the points will be online at midnight anyway.

You don't need the password to look at potential transfers. True you can double check that you won't exceed the £50m limit, but that's what calculators are for.
Unless you are going on holiday for 10+ days and won't have access to your teams then don't do it!
Reasons:
1: There are still 2 days left for transfers in/out of the EPL
2: There are loads of internationals for players to get injured in
3: There are also opportunities for training ground injuries (and elsewhere)
Leave it till Friday 8th at the earliest.

I was looking at getting rid of Zokora, but then I looked at the players of lower value, and only Bowyer has got any real differential.
Urgo, at this early stage transfers like that aren't really worth it.
However, I may take out Bellamy for the Saha, and use the money to upgrade Neville to Silvestre
