Just looking at this game - looks like they have reduced the transfers to combat this

was 20 in group and 20 in knockout last year i believe

now its 12 in group and 16 in knockout - lot less to play with for doing so many block changes

TFFE Champions League transfers

Post by SamD »

M_A is spot on regarding fewer transfers this time. Perhaps Telegraph game organiser is listening to feedback on this point?

Another way to reduce impact of multiple block defences would be to restrict players from any one club to a maximum of three per Starting XI.

Enjoyed the Telegraph Champions League comp last season so will enter 8 or 16 teams this time round. As others have said it’s a shame only finishing top is worthwhile money wise but it’s still good to have a Europe comp especially as there’s no DT Europe again🙄

Darkish, although this is paid out via tff you should also stipulate what you intend to do if you win the league of leagues and post the fiso warning as I have done above.

yep isn't first prize halved from £10k to £5k to reduce the appeal even further from block tedium, more maintenance required these days too. let alone trashing of minor prizes.

if you want to compete with the big multis that will be say £80 for 30 odd teams, if you make 2nd you return less than £80 on the favourites to win

wonder how much the poor GFM outfit are getting paid? their fees halved?

i'm with you edmo i'd rather play draft kings than this block defence game!

they can go join the foreign office for all i care - my chance to vote brexit

I think you are a great gambler Andy, but many will enter this and waste money in the hope of a podium finish. I won't, but good on them, I'd say. For me far rather this than the utter shambles of the Sun where the prizes are big, but the game organisation is a disgrace. I can take variance, but not farce.

SDT still bungle stuff but have improved their game immeasurably.

the biggest problem with tff is GFM who seem to think less oppo is a green light to drop standards, reduce prizemoney, produce a boring poorly designed game.

in sky they have knowingly allowed shybet to block access to the sky fantasy game!

who knows what shambles they will be responsible for next!

anyways if they bodge this one at least i won't have to suffer it now

if you want some fun just play a low stake draft kings game it is better than this tedium even if the odds are still against you ;)
