Update:

Electrifying Eels
Lloris/Varane Pavard Hernadez/KDB Hazard Perisic Sterling / Lukaku Rebic Kane
used 3 transfers - scored 21pts in the 3rd/4th play-off moving up 14 places to 58th. 4 Transfers left.
which means i'm going to have 8 Frogs & 2 Croats in the Final
Can't win any prizes (baring a bonkers scorline), but a French clean sheet will at least lead to a respectable finish.

Overbearing Octopuses (NOT) Coddling Catfish
Lloris/ Umtiti Pavard Hernadez Varane / Modric Perisic Sterling / Mandzukic Kane Lukaku
used 1 transfer - scored 9 pts in the 3rd/4th play-off dropping 28 places to 52nd in the KO. -21 pts off the lead. 3 Transfers left.
which means i'm going to have 8 Frogs & 3 Croats in the Final
IF France keep a clean sheet - I should haul in everybody above me who doesn't have French defenders.

Read this and knew we were likely to have identical teams ( depending on the 3 frogs) and being above you guessed you wouldn't catch me but amazed with the french defence conceding we've gone from 10th and 52nd to 1st and 2nd.

Thanks to everyone reading and commenting on this thread.

Astonished to find myself climbing from 52nd to 2nd in the KO with the final game, especially without the French clean sheet. Expected to make inroads, but not that much.

Even more astonished to find my other team climb from 58th to the top 10 of the overall (just :)

Just a bit gutting that my best team overall, wasn't my best team in the KO.

Congrats to everyone who landed in the money, especially Robot in the KO, who almost certainly finished with an identical team to me.

French block / Pogba Modric Perisic / Griezmann Mbappe Mandzukic.

for what it's worth the Golden doo-dah didn't even go to the best Croat. I didn't see all the minutes Croatia played, but for my money Perisic was outstanding, and Pogba was the top frog.

Hopefully i'll find some time to analyse my transfers , the good, the bad & the unlucky.

1 Entry for me in the TFF - going with a Terrier block, which i expect to be settled all season baring injuries.

Yes team identical, had the block plus the croats plus 3 english, the 3 changes were really a no brainer at that stage.
Will try and do a breakdown of all 20 changes if I get time.
Think ive won it with a bit of luck / average effort, suprised there wasnt better out there but the lack of clean sheets in the first few games changed things a bit.
Still shows even without those early clean sheets its still a block game despite suggetions that forward changes can beat block changes.

Cpt do you realise your higher than 10th in prize money because sandor can only win once.

How I got 289 points in the knockouts for reference in 4 years time!

Doesn't seem that good aside from the block change.

Dybala/Sterling/Kane/Willian/Giroud/Costa!

But it did have 59 appearences out of the max 64 (5 down due to the backward block change), all other transfers progressive.

Just lucky I think that out of the 6 knockout clean sheets none were in an obvious progressive sequence.

I received my cheque for £750 (£500 for coming 4th overall and £250 for coming 2nd golden boot), a couple of days ago. :D
Now I've just got to try and find a Natwest bank, that hasn't closed down, to pay it in.

You can pay money into banks that have closed down via the post office.
