This is the response I’ve just received...



The credits do not get doubled in packages I'm afraid, they are only doubled with the season ticket that is purchased with the World Cup game.

If you are already a prior season ticket holder from earlier in the season, you will not be able to purchase another season ticket from the World Cup game for the 2018/19 games until your current season ticket expires, after the World Cup game ends.

As expected - now i have to decide if i'm going to go with the 5 i have, or act as an "advisor" for 10 teams for my wife - there's no way i'm paying more than double for extra entries

Here's an example c and p of a reply to a twitter user earlier -
"your 2017/18 season ticket makes you eligible to win prizes and you can get extra teams for £5, 3 for £10 or 8 for £20"

So no early bird offers for those who already have a season ticket, early bird would only apply to new users. Which I would guess is less than 1% of their audience - everyone here with an interest in this sort of game is already a season ticket holder.

Very poorly worded promotion, and totally misleading without clarification imho.

No discount and they can shove it as far as i'm concerned. I'm 99% sure they never said at the time of purchase that you could use your credits for the world cup game.

Pretty sure when it gets closer to kick off they will either backtrack or do some kind of offer anyway.

I asked them on Facebook where the option was and they’ve come back with ‘Did you have a 2017/18 season ticket?’

Suggests that you can’t have both which is nonsense because I can’t win any prizes as they’re for season ticket holders only.

Since you posted this you've almost certainly seen that TFF say that you're OK for prizes if you are a 17/18 season ticket holder.

This raises the interesting point that if you are already a season ticket holder, you should be able to win World Cup prizes even if you only enter a single free team, even though the wording sometimes suggests that you can't win a World Cup prize with a single free World Cup team.

TFF really should sort themselves out! If they're not careful they'll be competing with Dreamteam for the Ambiguity Trophy.

Think I'm there now the issue was related to me changing my e mail address, I had an old dial up days tesco.net account and they have said they are scrapping their e mail service completely in june, so changed to a new one in my account.
This somehow conflicted me and thought I was a new person.
Switch back to the old e mail temporarily to enter 1 team
Worked but then kept saying I needed to upgrade to a season ticket even though it was showing 8 teams and all my seasonal teams, switched back and forth now and it seems to have reset properly ( hopefully)!

That was nailed on after I bought some teams at lunch to have a mess about with at work this afternoon.
