Yep, had noticed that.
My main gripe though is how ridiculously easy it is to pick a team full of superstars.

Going to be some massive multi entrants in this and TFF are no going to help the smaller players with this offer
Eary Bird Special Offer
For every team credit you buy before midnight on May 31 - we'll match it, regardless of how many you buy!
That means you can buy teams from as litte as £1 each...not too bad for a month's entertainment and a shot at more than £25,000 in cash.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
It may be easy to buy lots of teams, but how many is practible to manage sensibly as far as being free to do the changes especially the midweek earlier kick offs.
Not sure how many I will do yet.
Regarding the prices, havent given it a go yet but with these excessive transfers these games are becoming more of a case of predicting a sequence of clean sheets,
Making the prices slighly less relevent?

Re: TFF Euro 2016
International tournament FF games are always a bit of a lottery as so few matches... this is the only one I'm likely to bother with unless someone invites me to a private league elsewhere, but the excessive transfers do make them high maintenance games, perhaps that counteracts the luck element but is it then more time spent than skill that wins it?

Just don't think you should be able to afford the entire German/French/Spanish defence and still be able to afford three top strikers.robot wrote:It may be easy to buy lots of teams, but how many is practible to manage sensibly as far as being free to do the changes especially the midweek earlier kick offs.

Anyway, it is what it is. I've twelve credits left over from the main game so that'll do me.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
yes, just had a go, might as well not have prices it's now a case of virtually pick the players you want rather than trying to balance the team, just find 1 or 2 value midfielders and the other 9 or 10 will fit regardless of price.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
Just noticed there's £5K up for grabs for the best Starting XI (and £1K for runner up).
Perhaps I will buy a shed load more teams after all.

That's the most uninspiring list of attacking midfielders I can remember in a summer tournament.

Not so sure about that. As robot says having a lot of teams would require a lot of time to make 46 spaced out transfers, (the block of 11 wouldn't be so bad) in a large entry. At the same time the more transfers you have, there is less need for having a lot of teams as you can cover more possibilities by sequencing rather than perming, (not well explained, but yer know what I mean), unless you are one of those very few managers who prefer to cover most realistic possibilities, rather than to "take some views".Ashers wrote:Going to be some massive multi entrants.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
There may be a case for mass entrants aiming at the starting xi as they seem to have improved the prizes a bit, but the main game, unless your at home/free all the time going to be very difficult to manage especially with 2 pm kick offs, Spain /England/Italy all have 2pm kick offs on a weekday so you either have to free yourself from work etc for an hour or guess the evening before. (the 5pm ones not ideal either)Striker wrote:Not so sure about that. Mass entering then discarding the bulk of teams after the first few days may be how some do it.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
Table of fixtures for those interested, no "extra" game opportunity's ie russia at the world cup playing twice before some had played once so with 26 transfers 59 "appearences" is the max you will get assuming each transfer is used to move to a team with more games to go

thanks Robot for getting the ball rolling. Yes the name change might baffle a few FISOers but you can always watch the film on You Tube and get the feel of Summer on the French coast . The film was released in the same year that Hungary beat England at Wembley 19 !!

England players seem to be a bit over-priced considering we more than likely won't make it past the second round.

Assuming that by the second round, you mean the last 16, that's being a bit pessimistic, or even treacherous, unless you're Welsh.jordancsmith wrote:England players seem to be a bit over-priced considering we more than likely won't make it past the second round.

There seems like a few from your table...robot wrote:Table of fixtures for those interested, no "extra" game opportunity's ie russia at the world cup playing twice before some had played once so with 26 transfers 59 "appearences" is the max you will get assuming each transfer is used to move to a team with more games to go
If you replace an Italy player after their early game on the 17th for a Spain player, they play that evening and also on the 21st, before Italy again play on the 22nd
That works for Spain, Czech Rep, Turkey & Croatia over Italy & Sweden
Also with Austria, Hungary, Portugal & Iceland over Italy, Sweden, Belgium & ROI.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
I'm not the best at explaining it, but what you are saying is the minimum you need to do to get to 59 "appearances" in your examples you get 4 appearances out of 1 transfer, you do this 26 times then you get 26 plus the 33 normal games = 59, the same as changing a france player on day 1 for an england player etc.Aristotle19 wrote:There seems like a few from your table...robot wrote:Table of fixtures for those interested, no "extra" game opportunity's ie russia at the world cup playing twice before some had played once so with 26 transfers 59 "appearences" is the max you will get assuming each transfer is used to move to a team with more games to go

What you need to do is avoid wasting the extra game, an example of this would be changing a belgium player after game 2 to an Italy player for their final game after they've played game 2.
At the world cup russia played twice before some played once this would create 5 games for 1 transfer and genuinely create extra potential.

TFF Euro 2016
Haven't had chance to study the fixtures in depth yet. Are we sure we can't get extra games with the varying kick off times and flanging?
I kind of hope we can't because trying to flange in players across a dozen or so teams before the 2pm kick off might be a bit of a struggle when I'm at work.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
Just need to ensure every transfer goes to a player with more games left to get the 59.
Ie france-england-england-england
Or Spain-spain-italy-italy
If for example you daisy chain martial for kane and go.
Martial-kane-kane-martial-kane you'll waste one and end up with 58 etc.
Appreciate its not as simple as that though and martial might score big in the wasted transfer game but they're the choices you have to make.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
added my extra credits. Had a quick look. With 24 transfers seems that would need to use 8 or 9 in the first round of matches and 8 or 9 in the second and 6 or 7 in the last set with less rotation chances in the last round of matches with kick offs same time. In the starting line ups needs to be a bias towards teams in group A, B,C, D. The question is which positions are best to strikers or defenders. Noticed Russia are are early 2 for 1 so if you start with any Russian players best to give them 2 games.

Re: TFF Euro 2016
A couple of people here questioning robot's logic. He's right, but also as he says it's not easy to explain. But let's take a single slot in your team in which over the course of the group stage you use X transfers. If you are to beat the 59 total man games you need to get MORE than 3 plus X man games from that slot. Try doing that. You can't!
