I hope it works as well and that Nathan's treble up fails 37 potential changes still to go,10 players still in teams but out of comp, yes a fair few reasonable picks left, but as each game ends and a team goes out,I'd imagine they will go quickly, then by quarter/semi stage we will be left with finding likely super subs for the last few transfers.thebillfella wrote:I hope it works better than the double up I did with Striker on Spain defenders...robot wrote: 7.Thebillfella -Varane-(Double up with Debauchy and no doubt will do well now I've gone for Evra)
Thanks for sorting - changes made. A few surprises in terms of players still undrafted - good news for those who now want to make changes.

TRANSFERS MUST BE COMPLETED ON THE TFF SITE BY 5 PM TODAY SATURDAY, BUT PREFERABLY CONSIDERABLY SOONER
Those yet to do theirs have around 9 hrs, but by noon would be good so we don't have to send reminders.
blahblah can select his 11th player from all the unallocated players, i.e. those not showing in robot's latest coloured player chart and do his transfers at the same time.

Re: DRAFT WORLD CUP GAME USING TFF
Blahblah: When you claim your last player in order to make your transfers, please post your intention here a.s.a.p. as there are two or three managers possibly intending to start using their three knock out phase transfers before the first kick off today.
If anyone else has the same query as SE, the answer is that the three knock out phase transfers can be used from 4pm today by which time everyone should have made their mini draft transfers on the TFF site. However if blah has not appeared by then you don't have to wait for him.
Just post your intention, wait a minute to avoid the possibility of simultaneous claims, refresh the page to check, make the transfer, and edit your post saying that you have made the transfer.

Re: DRAFT WORLD CUP GAME USING TFF
Attention Please!
It appears that one manager has jumped the gun and used two of his knock out phase transfers. He has "transgressed" in two ways.
1. All transfers must be posted before they are implemented in our standard claiming process.
2. He has started to use his transfers before 4 pm. The whole point of these timings is to achieve a level playing field.
Consequently any points that he gains from these two players unless he follows the suggestion below will be nullified. Secondly those two players (haven't seen who they are as robot spotted this problem) are still available to all other managers up until he selects them properly.
The "culprit" can wait to 4 pm, then try to be the first to claim his hoped for players, by going through the normal claiming process. Saying who he wants, waiting a minute, and the editing the post saying that he's done the transfer. If he is beaten to a player or fails to make such a post between 4 pm and 5 pm he won't get the points of those players until he obtains the players according to the rules.

Re: DRAFT WORLD CUP GAME USING TFF
A few players we all didn't initially draft that are now out or played last 16 game that would have done better than some of our drafts:
Aranguiz 23 points
Gyan 19 points
Gervinho 19 points
Anew 19 points
Medel 11 points
Valdiva 9 points
Jara 9 points
Mena 9 points
Zapata 14 points (suprised no one put him in last night)
Yepes 14 points (I did have him but along with Hummells looks like I should have kept him )
31 more players to find with the remaining transfers
12 players currently no longer in the game.

Think I pretty much called all of this spot on other than my own Cavani and SEs Iniesta; I don't think I was the only one who didn't see Spain's early exit coming...?thebillfella wrote:Draft Round 3 Review
25. The Dude Abides- Dani Alves. Only real chance of getting a Brazilian defender.
26. Rinky- Hazzard - Belguim should do ok.
27. Streety- Ribery (wanted to pick Hazard! Hope he's fit)
28. SE - Iniesta ( plays midfield further forward in a favoured team that may not have a striker!)
29. Thebillfella - Cavani (surprised he is still available)
30. Striker - Ramos (in the next round I'll be picking ahead of sted )
31. Sted - Sturridge (Rule Brittania and all that)
32. workie-ticket - J. Martinez. - Colombian striker.
33. robot - J Rodriguez - Columbian Midfielder
34. Nathan- Neuer
35. blahblah - D. Silva
36. robroy - van Persie
The first defender and probably the most attacking in the competition for thedudeabides - as it panned out he had plenty of chance for more Brazil defenders later on. Streety probably rueing Rinky's draft of Hazard even more now Ribery is out (gone with what he knows in Drogba as his replacement but past his best now). Iniesta scored well for me last tournament but Spain more reliant on possession and not conceding now than before...
I'm hoping Cavani gets off to a flier with question marks over Suarez; workie the same in the absence of Falcao although will he be Colombia's best striker or main man? I think robot may have the answer. Striker does the dirty on me again ( ) with the draft of Ramos. Sted begins his noble / loyal / naive quest with England drafts. Neuer was an injury doubt but seems ok now, albeit possibly not the strongest defence in the competition this time. Silva's starting place isn't guranteed; RVPs is, but not the strongest dutch team this time.
Best draft - robot; J. Rodriguez - could be one of the stars of the tournament as long as Colombia progress
Worst draft - sted; Sturridge - sorry Sted, 2 in a row

40.Robot - Thiago Silva (going to be lifting the cup on 13th july)
41.Workie-Ticket - lavezzi - Argentinean striker - budget may be an issue later!
42.Sted - Stevie G
43.Striker - Marcelo (clean sheets plus a few offensive fantasy points)
44.Thebillfella - Jordi Alba (as above)
45.SE - Mirallas (underdogs with a bite, could do well)
46.Streety - Pjanic (Can see them qualifying with a winnable 2nd round)
47.Rinky - Fernandez argies should have a few clean sheets
48.The Dude abides - Griezmann. Can help the French progress.
Robroy kicks off the drop in draft quality with someone he probably could have got 6 drafts later Lahm always a good pick, T.Silva and Marcelo should score well as should Alba; Lavezzi, Mirallas and Griezmann may have to rely on sub appearances (or game 3) to score; Sted continues his England love-in; Pjanic and Fernandez are ok picks but surely better choices were available at this stage?
Best draft - thebillfella; Alba - equal pick with Striker's Marcelo as goals, assists and clean sheet potential through to the end. Alba takes it as Spain slightly stronger in defence and a later draft so allow me this one indulgence
Worst draft - robroy; Fetfatzidis - why

Re: DRAFT WORLD CUP GAME USING TFF
Looks like the big team defensive block tactics generally weren't the best tactic here given that players such as the actual draft of the round Robben or Cuadrado were still left available by this round (and teams like Mexico / Costa Rica being more lucrative defensive points-wise ). The transfer out of Eto'o was as predicted, although probably would have been shipped out sooner by anyone else but for the fact it was blahthebillfella wrote:Draft Round 5 Review
49.The Dude abides - De Bruyne. Can do for Belguim what he never got chance to do at Chelsea.
50.Rinky - ZabelETA clean sheets goals ans assists well hoping.
51.Streety - Kompany (Beast. Clean sheets + Goals = Points)
52.SE - Rakitic (under the radar goal scoring Seville, UEFA cup winner)
53.Thebillfella - Pique (solid base)
54.Striker - Luiz (defensive clown according to some, great player according to moi)
55.Sted -Hrt (the letter seems to be broen on my eybord...oh! nd the letter )
56.Workie-Ticket - garay - another Argentina player to add to the ranks...
57.Robot - Robben (why is he still available? have I missed something, although not to sure on the dutch this tournament but he's in anyway.)
58.Nathan - Cuadrado
59.BlahBlah - Eto'o
60.Robroy - Diego Godin
De Bryne vastly underated - will he show Jose the mistake he made? Zabaleta should get attacking points but Argie defence not as strong as the other favourites (but easier group will help). Rakitic has had a good season but will Croatia shine here? Kompany may do ok in an easy group but may not get further than round of 16 / QFs? A few showing signs of defensive semi-block tactic with Striker and Robot (Brazil), thebillfella (Spain), Rinky (Argentina) and Streey (Belgium) and of course Sted (England - to follow). This tactic may explain why Robben was still available for Robot - are the dutch a settled outfit now or is Martin Indi taking Robben out in training a sign?! Cuadrado and Godin are solid if unexciting picks; Eto'o may have had his best days now...
Best draft - Striker; Luiz - as with the last round, I think an equal pick with thebillfella's Pique as goals, possible penalty shoot-out kicks and clean sheet potential through to the end so let's call it one each
Worst draft - blahblah; Eto'o - expect an early transfer
