Cheers guys, I'm hoping that after tomorrow and Saturday, I'm still in the mix and have an exciting Sunday evening to look forward to.

However, I fear that the Brazilian goal could put the kibosh on my chances if the Dutch or Argies keep clean sheets.

So how many Brazilians will keep their place in the 3/4 play off? Got Caesar, ,Luiz and Oscar, and a distinct lack of Argentinians (except Messi) so want to swap some over, but not sure who will play for Brazil (Luiz is loved despite being awful, Oscar scored etc) and none of the Argentine team screams pick me...anyone got any pearls of wisdom?

Reckon that Big Phil might let most of the team that played last night play again to try and get some redemption. Not like he has got much depth on the bench and can't really afford another hammering.

Good morning and well done JAG for getting top spot.
I'm currently in 5th (9 points behind) but with a very different team by the sounds of it - mine is predominantly argentinian so all to play for... still got 11 players playing but I'm all out of transfers :(
So good luck, and I will be sharing your nervousness from here on in!

Good luck Littledon but by the looks of your achievements you are a dab hand at being in play at the business end of things. But nervous but the pessimist in me says I have peaked too soon but nice to be in at the end with some interest for once.

Good luck Jag with both teams this weekend. That's some prize to sweat on.

Ps Is that really Rachel's team?

And you Don too

Rachel is my sister in law who asked for some help with her work mini league so I entered a team that mirrored hers so I could advise her on transfers. Unfortunately, she didn't have the stamina or interest to keep up with the relentless subs so although she looks to have won her mini league her team is some way off the pace!

Jag, I think you may have peaked at exactly the right time. And I'm not convinced the argies can keep the german's at bay. I would much rather have my chips stacked in the dutch corner with them playing against brazil. But if there's one thing this world cup has taught us it's that anything can happen. Best of luck!

Yeah, I know. Honestly didn't think I would be in with a shout so to give myself a fighting chance have deleted them (and also pinged Striker a PM asking if he would to) but not sure he has seen it.

In fact one of your posts quotes him if you wouldn't mind deleting that (not that I think it will make too much difference now)

I'm carrying plenty of Dutch and fear that they'll be playing a lot more second string players than Brazil.

Germany the team to be on for me.

Evening, interesting to read all your posts. I am currently joint 3rd and am also delighted to be there at the 'business end' of the competition. However, it just takes one clean sheet from only one of the four teams to turn the table on its head completely. My opinion is that the Brazil line-up will be very much the same due to poor fringe players and a need to make up for the 7-1 loss. However the Dutch might mix up the players a bit and give their fringe players World Cup experience. Van Gaal is quoted as saying the 3rd place play off is a waste of time. The key to the whole TFF competition might be whether Di Maria is fit or not. There are loads of players that can still win it with a bit of luck so all the best to everyone.

I had a team in 12th before the semis. It's now 107th all due to one team leaking 7 in one match and other teams not letting in during the other game. That's how quick it can change. Thought I had a real chance as had transfers left but well out of it now. Good luck to those left in with a shout, hopeful of 2 high scoring entertaining games just to finish the WC off.

My single team is 30th I'm overwhelmed never been that high before. No transfers left but my entire team is full of the semi finalists. All I care about is winning my super league - I'm about 30 points clear so should be ok.

Well done and good luck to all you guys!

So what are peoples teams looking like then? Don't have to go into specifics but I just wondered what amount of players at least people have in each of the last two games?

In theory I have 7 playing tonight already in my team (dependent on final team sheets) and with 5 transfers left to bundle on tomorrows final, will have 9 playing that game. I'm currently in the dizzy heights of 66th with a single team ... so just wondered what people around me are looking like :)

Thomarse, I think you have a great chance of winning it. I am third with no transfers left but 11 players still 'available for selection' - I need a huge dose of luck to win it though for various reasons. I mentioned earlier loads of players could still win it, and you currently being 66th with 5 transfer remaining highlights this. Scolari's and Van Gaal's team selection will be waited with baited breath by all those with a chance. Good luck one and all.
