Emergency 2nd Transfer Debate/Poll

Post by Flyman »

grob tells us that, acc. BBC, Reina hasn't travelled to PO this week.
As we have no support goalie I wondered if anyone wanted to make the case for a second transfer - perhaps for a doubler?

Just floating the idea. Any thoughts out there?

We now have 5 members in favour, so I am starting the poll to last until 10:30 am tomorrow.

The maths seem to support the idea of doing another transfer - Reina will have a maximum of 2 games left while the GW37 doublers have 4 - they will have 2 extra games to make up those 4 points.

I wouldn't go for VDS as ManU seem to have no defenders left, so the choice is between Friedel and Robinson. I'll go for Robinson as his fixtures seem a bit easier.

Reina  Friedel for the 4-point hit gets my vote. What's the protocol regarding polls etc. in this situation?? :?

Well, I'm winging it here!
I reckon that if 5 members express a desire to act by midnight tonight I'll set up a poll which will include a 'No Change' option.
Poll will end 10:30 tomorrow.
Sound ok to you lot?

I nominate: Robinson, cos you never know! :P

Well,as there's 4 of you already,I'll make it 5,and agree that a poll be set up including a "no change" option, for those who've not woken up yet.

This will give those of us whose heads are hurting a chance to consider the alternatives, bearing in mind that if we buy FRIEDEL,we can't then buy next week McCarthy,MGP or Bentley,as we'll already have 3 Blackburn players - as we already have Samba and Mokoena -unless we sell one of them !

The poll will also give everyone time to estimate how many points REINA will likely get,in his fewer remaining games, than Robinson 'til season end.

Then, when we've spent all this time contemplating these major issues at the expense of all our own other teams, word will come through that although REINA,GERRARD & CARRAGHER didn't travel down to Portsmouth with the rest of the team, they've gone down separately by car ! (wink added in case anyone thinks that's the latest news)

Does RAFA have any idea what grief he's causing us all ?

Well, as we have enough in favour, I'll start the poll now.
It will end tomorrow, 10:30 am.

I think it should have to receive a total of 7 votes at least before it becomes ratified. Do others agree?

Invalid proposal, given that the transfer poll indicates we're about to buy LAMPARD,and we already have DROGBA & CARVALHO

Went for Robinson in the end as I didn't want us to miss out on McCarthy/MGP etc and it will leave us with a bit more money as opposed to Crossley -> Kenny
