Many thanks

Glad to see you've got Barry, I foolishly subbed him out when MON started playing him LB and have regretted it since , I can start doubly cheering him again now (A goal is always even more satisfying when it gets you some fanto points)

I also now have an extra reason to cheer Scott P in forthcoming game

I'm just so honoured, and overcome with emotion. This is just so unexpected, I haven't prepared a speech. I'd like to thank Flyman and the Committee for inviting me,and most of all,my mother for having me ...eh,what ? there's no need to make a speech, did you say ? Oh, all right then,I know I talk too much anyway; I'll just go to bed instead then, in case I have to make any important decisions tomorrow on behalf of.... what am I now a member of ? oh,right, the name's shown above,La Republica del FISO Boardroom(Private) - sounds right posh, that does.

Just one question for now,as I don't want to make a fool of myself -do we have to wear a tie when visiting the loo in the boardroom ?

Well, as was no doubt to be expected, for some interest has waned in our Glorious Republica (viva!) over the past 4 months.

On occassion I have taken it upon myself to invite expressive FPL posters to join our ranks in order to boost our numbers. However, with the festive season upon us I wonder if now may not be a good time to organise a Membership Drive? After all, we really have next to no publicity on the FPL Forum and should not be surprised at our negative population growrth.

Therefore, I would welcome ideas for a recruitment drive and, furthermore, would like to see La Republica employ a 'Recruitment Officer' whose task, in brief, will be to sporadically publicise La Pub and encourage membership from suitable individuals (minimum 20 posts).

All applicants' names and general ideas may be posted below.

La Republica por Sempre!

can't,LJ. The Chairman of the Premiership's disciplinary committee has decreed that both our teams are to appear before them at the hearing, in the kits as worn during the disputed Fiso League Cup semi-final.
Besides,my team like their new kit so much that they haven't taken it off yet, even when they go to bed - minus muddy boots though,on missus' insistence.
As if that's not enough reason, they think they might rise up the league table in their new kit :D
Also, until people stop visiting the semi-final thread, which they should soon, if either of us change our kit, they won't understand when they check our teams what on earth we were talking about !

Good luck in the final !

ps thanks everyone, for the warm welcome ! Don't recall seeing Karrde's above abode in the "Fiso Through The Keyhole Contestant " thread. Too obvious,I suppose ?

It's a bit like the Tardis, isn't it? All you see from the outside is a little sticky link, but once you;re allowed in a whole new universe materialises...

Thank you for the welcome... Could I just point out to Viddleodge, though, that (I've been doing some quick reading of earlier posts in this thread) the Dave Hegehog cult are just a bunch of chancers who stick hairbrushes to their coats, jump in front of cars and listen to the Wedding Present... Or is that the Dave Gedgehog cult? Anyway, I've renounced the Dave Gregory malarkey now as it was playing havoc with getting to work on time, plus Vince Hilaire was way cooler.

Make yourself at home, mate. The drinks cabinet is always open. :D
You'll find our current squad in The Changing Room and on the 1st post of each weekly poll (if I remember. ).

Ardbeg? Laphroaig?

Thankfully I don't have any to hand or you would have tempted me to have a drink!
