Saved up a couple of games in hand for international week. That meant I missed the first week of the FISO cup.

My league position is looking much healthier.
You're getting a bit good at this aren't you.
Flippin mickey mouse cups and all that..
Looks like you could go from 18th to top of your league with a 17 pointer on Wednesday!

For clarity and as a reminder to myself: Athletico BM & REDSquadron have elected to use their set 2 scores for Cup purposes.

Yes sorry, after checking I realised that unusually you weren't entered for the FISO Cup.

Here's a round up of the group stage Game 3 scores with just the Set 3 scores to come (Thursday).
Just the top 16 go through to play in a head to head KO stage through to the finish.

So far, 7 teams are definately through, 2 teams are out and the other 9 places will be settled after Thursdays results.

I've decided to follow the traditional Lucky 7's KO stage format, so there can be no match fixing allegations.

However, all these games are played over 2 legs and will go to replays if needed.

FISO Cup 1st round knockout stage
Game 1 Team Finishing 1st v Team Finishing 16th
Game 2 Team Finishing 2nd v Team Finishing 15th
Game 3 Team Finishing 3rd v Team Finishing 14th
Game 4 Team Finishing 4th v Team Finishing 13th
Game 5 Team Finishing 5th v Team Finishing 12th
Game 6 Team Finishing 6th v Team Finishing 11th
Game 7 Team Finishing 7th v Team Finishing 10th
Game 8 Team Finishing 8th v Team Finishing 9th

FISO Cup Quarter Finals
Winner Game 1 v Winner Game 8
Winner Game 2 v Winner Game 7
Winner Game 3 v Winner Game 6
Winner Game 4 v Winner Game 5

FISO Cup Semi Finals
Winner Game 1/8 v Winner Game 4/5
Winner Game 2/7 v Winner Game 3/6

FISO Cup Final
Winner Game 1/8/4/5 v Winner Game 2/7/3/6

The above table shows scores for each of the 3 group stage games and also an orange column for tiebreakers which was decided simply by the time you posted your interest on this thread.
Sorry to Karrde, it's harsh but you've been knocked out due to the tiebreak rule.

All 1st legs take place on Matchday 6 with the 2nd legs (reverse fixtures) taking place on Matchday 7.

So the Matchday 6 fixtures are:

Good point.

Always thought it was a tad common to get a 7-up without having the grace to do it in style and get at least 1 hat-trick :P

Forgot to add that you should throw in a couple of penalty shoot outs just to make it interesting

Nearly murf ... you've still got the 2nd leg to come though

Villa were picked by all set 3 pickers except 1, so there were no further 7xWs this week.

Typical. Lucky 7s swans into a 15-0 lead while 3 of us score 19 and find ourselves 28-19 down

Spooky freak of statisticory having the 7 best scores across just 4 of the 8 ties....

I was very glad that you didn't pick last week TDB 8-) .. no need to leave you off the reminder list this week then.
Normally, I would be happy enough with 15pts, but it was a poor week by FISO's high standards.

Ok folks, there are just 4 results to come from set 3 (updated Thursday) but I reckon there are just 2 positions to in the QFs to be confirmed. If any of the 1st round aggregate scores are level, then a replay will be played on Matchday 8.

Here are the Matchday 7 results so far...

The Drogs Ballacks could displace my team with a 7 timer and Harrys back to front could fail to score a single point so technically Deselective is still in it, but I can easily edit my spreadsheet if needs be

So the Matchday 8 Quarter Final - 1st leg (and Matchday 9 2nd leg) fixtures are looking like this:

Well played mark1886 :D

Chelsea blew my chances of beating you last night
(I am on 13 from 5 games so theoretically I am still in it as I 'only' need 2 wins and 2 hat tricks tonight from 2 games to tie it....)

I was just having a quick look at this weeks scores and have just noticed The Kop Kings didn't pick this week (I haven't deleted them, honest!).

Only one scoreline is confirmed this week so far

The Kop Kings v Devon XI 0 - 14

... the rest will be updated a bit later on tonight.

Damn it, forgot about this!! Left the set deliberately, as wanted to play a catch-up on the International week, and knew this wasn't an FA Cup week. Well played Ian...

Although am tempted to say these were deleted, including my predicted Hull win v Spurs

Always the second leg.....

Cheers Grant, as you say it isn't over yet, anything can happen on International week which is typically a good time for high scores, so no chicken counting over here just yet..

Btw sorry for the delay in updating the rest of this weekends scores, my webhosts are having some problems  and have temporarilly changed some settings which has prevented full functionality. All should be restored soon, hopefully.

Well my webhosts finally got round to sorting it, so all scores are now updated for Matchday 8.

Here's the FISO Cup scores and it was a good week for the away teams:

(Note: the 2nd legs take place Matchday 9)

There were some impressive scores in the QF 2nd legs this weekend with the midweek set 3 scores still to come.
It's congratulations to Jeffers on who is the first team through to the semi finals after a very narrow aggregate victory over last seasons winners Blackness Trotters.
The remaining results will be decided after the set 3 midweek games, but you can see below who needs what to go through.
