Looking at the mid week set I think I will have a well earned rest. I should be fit for the onslaught then!

Oh bigger! I have just noticed that the Champions cup is at stake this time. No rest for me then.

I'm still gonna slaughter one of you!

3rd round so far:

Lips Ink v Madchester

Lips Ink: Basle, Queens Park Rangers (L), Juventus (L)

Madchester: AC Milan (D), Middlesbrough, Schalke

The Levski Sofia v Schalke game is an 18.00 kick off, so it could be all over before the Basle v Boro game kicks off at 19.45, unless Basle go hat-trick crazy, good luck chaps.

Cheers Murf.

I'll try to get The Kop Kings to avoid the beige suits for the big final...

Me and Mad have both picked from the first selection, but with only two differences in our selections.

Both of mine and one of Mad's play on Thursday. The other one of Mad's was Inter who lost. :D

Derby County W, Ipswich Town L (heavily!), Leeds United D, Sheffield United W,

And they are underway!
4pts so far for Jeffers, 5 to play.

14 pts for me in total.

Looks like it'll be close. Call me pessimistic, but I reckon Jeffers will win it by a point with the games left...[/b]

Grant, you also got a bonus point for James Harpers hat-trick in the Reading game. So Jeffers has to equal or beat 15pts.

Just 5 for me now with only 4 games to play to make at least 10 points from.

Here's hoping for no hat tricks in a Man U win! Jeffers 3 behind with Man U to come.

Come on Arsenal

Set 1 it is! Think I would have gone for that one anyway, as wasn't sure on the Dutch games. Gives a match up of:

Me:
Middlesbrough , Manchester United , Colchester United , Swansea City ,
Southend United , Arsenal , Sheffield United ,

Jeffers:
AZ Alkmaar , Ajax , PSV Eindhoven , Sparta Rotterdam ,
Toulouse , ADO Den Haag , Heerenveen ,

[For interest, my set 2 would have been:
The Kop Kings (Premier League) - Season 11, Matchday 12
AZ Alkmaar , Ajax , Heracles , PSV Eindhoven ,
Toulouse , ADO Den Haag , Heerenveen - bet it would have won  ]

Looking good so far with 2 wins out of 2 in set 1.

11 from 6 for Jeffers, 10 from 4 for me. Going to be close, but feeling confident(ish  ) now.

[And my Dutch set would have tied :? ]
