So, Division 1 then, should be interesting - a few big names from FISO in there!

I'd agree with what thelip says as far as new recruits go, it's very easy to play and you can spend as much or as little time as you want in considering your selections! The number of divisions shouldn't put people off either, in most cases you will soon start to work your way up the leagues if you remember to pick regularly.

Thanks for the kind remarks gents!

Still haven't had any new players for this season yet though, come on folks what are you waiting for! It's free, simple to play and can take as little as 2 minutes of your time each week to play.

As forestfan pointed out above, gaining promotion from Division 7 shouldn't be too difficult, there were 13 teams from Div 7 promoted to Div 6 at the end of Season 16.

New players can join in anytime, but new Season 17 starts this weekend if you want to start along with the rest of us.

Don't be put off by the word 'season' either.

A 'season' only lasts 10 weeks . If you're good enough then continuous promotions should see you getting up to Leagues 2 or 3 in your first year of playing (4 seasons), with a push for League 1 and the Premiership in your second year.

Great fun. 8-)

Just realised I got 5 out of 5 last night.

Relying on Aberdeen to lose and Everton to win :?

Very nice position murf. 8-)
I went for tonights games (Set 2) but wish I'd gone for last night now seeing as most results went as I would have expected, except perhaps the draw for Rangers.

Bumped! for this weekends Matchday 3 which will also determine scores for the 1st round of the FA Cup competition. Plenty of FISOers still haven't picked yet.

It's also the 1st leg of Round 1 in the FISO Cup, if your team is entered yet add it to the list here before midday tomorrow:

Still waiting for 3 paid FISO teams Athletico BM, Cloughies Army and Magflyers to enter for midweek Matchday 4. Deadline closes 7pm tonight.

This midweek you have the choice of Carling Cup, Spanish or Italian fixtures good luck all.

A lucky win for the Hammers tonight gives me a good start going into the Weds games. I nearly didn't pick them but was glad I did now. :D
Could be a bumper midweek for point scores if the results go the way they are expected, but there is usually at least one shock result in these sort of games.

I take it that 'Dynamo Dave' (D7) now holds the record for least points scored in a week ?

1 point :(

I only managed 3pts.

I thought the Championship looked so much easier than the Premier League this week.

No, there were actually a couple of zero pointers last season!

This week's Premier League set didn't look nice but I still went for it, I think one of the commandments of this game is "Thou shalt not pick from a Championship set!"

Looks like I've got 11 so far, I'd have certainly taken double figures with a game to play at the start of the day. If it wasn't for those Cups it was a definite sit-out though.

If you hadn't already noted from the luckysevens forums, next midweek Matchday 8 will have 2 'early bonus' sets of fixtures:
Set 3 (Spanish/Italian) will be available between noon on Saturday - 2pm on Sunday afternoon
Set 1 (Mostly JP Trophy) will be available between noon on Saturday - 7.45pm on Monday evening

Set 2 (U21 Internationals) will be available up until the usual 7pm timeslot on Tuesday evening

The provisional Matchday 8 fixtures are available to view here
If for any reason you can't get to a PC to submit selections this weekend, then you can PM or email me your picks and I'll add them in for you.
