It's not always the best way to pre judge the sets but ...
109 people selected from Set 1 and
45 people selected from Set 2

Lucky I realised that I was in a cup replay after reading yesterday's post, as I was considering a sit-out in order to double up on Matchday 19!

Made my selections very quickly at lunchtime and was sure I'd picked Lyon, checked at half time and I must have changed my mind at the last minute - now need just Blackburn and Spurs for maximum points!

Good call, may even be the result that sees you through to the FA Cup semi finals.

Bad call, may even be the result that sees me fail to get through to the FA Cup semi finals

May have done my maths wrong, but I reckon you can see the Fa Cup Semi Final lineup already.
There's 3 teams that have either Moscow or Kiev, and that will leave them below the other 4 (including me!). I hope I've got that right?

Oh, and yes...well done on getting your selections in on time Karrde :x

Matchday 18 will have an early bonus set of fixtures to pick from (Set 3).
Please note these will only be available for a short while between noon on Saturday 6 Oct until 2pm on Sunday 7 October.
If for any reason you may not be around during those times, you can send me your picks early via PM or email and I will add them in for you.

Set 1 & 2 will remain open until 7pm on Tuesday 9 October.

There will be 3 sets on Matchday 19 (2 Internationals and 1 lower league)

As a quick reminder to all, Matchday 19 will be the last chance to score points, Matchday 20 is only used for friendlies and tiebreakers (if needed).

(Here's a copy of my earlier post in case it gets missed on the previous page)

I think most Set 2 pickers will be regretting their choice now... 6 away wins, and the only successful home side being Celtic against the holders! There could be a few people on 0 or 1 point with perhaps Bolton and Everton still to play!

33% have Schalke but only 13% Chelsea and 13% Donetsk. So it looks like a few are indeed going to be biting their nails tomorrow evening.

If I'm correct that it is indeed a 3-way match this midweek, I think I've got a 3-way Champions Cup semi-final replay at the weekend. All of us have 12+Bla+Tot. Think that will be my 7th replay this season combining both that and the fiso cup.

I need a week off, I want a set in hand for MD19! :(

That set really was a horror! Looks like I get to the final with around an 11 point victory!?

Now for the delights of a JP Trophy/Conference or Spanish/Italian selection on Matchday 18 :( If it wasn't the final I'd be leaving this set well alone!

I did half expect it to be honest, it's a complete dead rubber of a match and you could always imagine Spurs turning up in Cyprus with a weakened side and going through the motions really.

Well, it still looked more of a banker than any of the CL games. Anyway, the three games I didn't pick I'd have gone for home wins which wouldn't have come in for me either!

So, no 7x then, but still a great matchday for the ground gained on the set 2 people, whatever the Blackburn result later on.

I started off hoping for a result, then hoping not to get too badly smashed and finished by fearing for my promotion ambitions never mind the Div 3 Title I had almost got in the bag

Shocker, total shocker. I should have seen the set and sacrificed the cup. Never should have played it.

There's usually not much to choose between the two Champions League sets on any matchday. I didn't like the look of the second one but would still never have expected it to produce the results it did.

Everton and Bolton not doing too well in recovering it either so far!

Hard luck to the FISOers that went out of the cup comps this midweek:
Hexham FC and Murfs Mob both go out in the FA Cup QF replay and,
SerXI and Karrde Vale both exit the Loyalty Cup SFs

Well played to the lucky FISOers that won through:
Mulleteers are through to the Loyalty Cup Final,
Jaybrent Allstars and REDSquadron are involved in a Champions Cup Semi Final replay this weekend and,
Cloughies Army, Mulleteers and Jaybrent Allstars make up 3 of the 4 FA Cup semi finalists.

Good luck this weekend not much longer to go now ... 8-)

My season is over :( No cups, no promotion, no relegation (as long as I keep entering). A one in fifty chance of qualifying for the Champions Cup?

Next year Rodney, next year.....

A quick reminder that the 'early bonus' Set 3 for midweek Matchday 18 is only available to pick from until 2pm tomorrow afternoon. Set 3 is an Italian/Spanish mix. After 2pm tomorrow there will just be 2 sets of JP trophy/Conference games to pick from.

Next weekends International Matchday 19 will be the last chance to score points for Season 16.

Well, I hadn't planned for this... was banking on sitting out Matchday 18 to double up on the internationals, but now find I have an FA Cup semi-final replay!

Having missed out on the European set I've now got to take a chance on the JP Trophy lottery. Hopefully won't cost me the division title but probably doesn't help my All Team league chances!

You'll have the benefit (or not) of knowing what score to beat as FC Blackwolwes & Mulleteers have already picked from Set 3 so their scores will be announced later tonight.

FA Cup Semi Final replay
FC Blackwolwes scored 13pts from Set 3, so that's the end of the road for them.
Mulleteers scored 16pts from Set 3, so that's the score to beat!

Yep...pleased with my 16 points from the Spain/Italy Set. If you'd offered me that at the start of today I would have taken it!

Forestfan...I reckon you should leave this midweek alone and concentrate on the league?
