FA Cup Prediction Comp (with a twist) 2015/16

With murf's permission, I'm running this one this season.

Most of the following text is copied from last year, so the rules are the same.

Time for the sixth annual FA Cup Prediction Comp (with the same old twist)

Just predict who you think will win this season's FA Cup. Simple eh? Err, no....

you have to start with a team in Round 1 and use your 'skill' to navigate your way to the final or as far as you can. All subject to the nice twists in the rules (see below).

2014/15 thread - won by MorrisonDullforce (started with AFC Wimbledon)
2013/14 thread - won by Bluenosey (started with Coventry)
2012/13 thread - won by coryphaeus (started with Bournemouth
2011/12 thread - won by Rookster (started with MK Dons)
2010/11 thread - won by eagle 224 (started with Notts County)

1. Simply pick a team that will win their FA Cup round 1 tie (by replay / pens if necessary)
1A. Note you can only start with a team in the first round and cannot join after the first round.
2. You cannot copy someone else's pick.
3. Win and you go through to the next round, lose you go out. Simple enough for ya?
4. Throughout the comp you can only change your pick in each round to the team your current pick has drawn (e.g. if you have Accrington Stanley and they draw Man Utd in round 3 you, and only you, can switch to Man U). This is subject to rule 2. If you draw a team that somebody already has then you are stuck with your pick. Complicated enough for ya?
5. I don't think I'll need to tweak these rules later but I reserve the right to do so!

For round one just copy the last list on the line which keeps the list in alphabetical order by club - club name first, then yours..
Try and keep it in alphabetical order by club.
Please check you haven't missed off anybody who has posted since the list you copied.
The deadline is when your team kicks off so late entries will get less matches to choose from. Obviously no entries after round 1.

Full set of teams that will play in 1st round of FA Cup will be known after last 4th round qualifying replay that will be played tomorrow. After that I'll make the full update of fixtures.

I've been shopping in Meadowhall. Can I pick Sheffield United?

Arsenal are my main team.
Bristol City is my local team and I live in Forest Green (so follow their results more than a fan).

Main Team is Arsenal, from Northampton, but in the words of the song, I came to P'boro and "shagged their women and drank their beer", and as already stated, they are a "shit-team" and have "no fans"..... I feel I qualify... QED.

I went with the same rules as last year. But as I see that it's hard to check it and some have already picked making the picks more on the basis of this:
''- Until midnight (end of) Thursday (29 Oct) = entry is limited to clubs you have some connection to (e.g. you live near there / your cousin is their mascot)''
rather than this-
''- Until midnight (end of) Wednesday (28 Oct) - entry is limited to genuine fans of the clubs involved''

I'll leave it to be as it is and lets continue picking based on this:
''- Until midnight (end of) Thursday (29 Oct) = entry is limited to clubs you have some connection to (e.g. you live near there / your cousin is their mascot)''

I'm guessing that the ones who have already picked more or less are ok.

Ah, I think those rules just make everything more confusing. I think I'll have to use my right to adjust the rules as we go and just get rid of them. murf added them last year and while I get that it would be better if the first ones who pick are genuine fans of the club (so that you don't steal their pick), I guess it'll be just easier without them. Otherwise it's impossible to really check any statements - I can say I know someone in all of those places or whatever. Will be easier without them. Sorry for the inconvenience!
