Many congratulations to Des. Consistently he has proven that he is the best FISODAS player of the Shrews era. In this time he has picked up zero trophies, but has finished 3rd,2nd,2nd,4th,2nd in The Premiership and also been a runner up in The FISODAS Cup.
At last he has won something !
A special note to Dickypick. The only player to win The Premiership twice and to win The Premiership/FISODAS Cup double. A slightly better performance in season 5 would have seen him crowned champ instead.
Payner in third is also a very consistent performer and these three set the standard for all FISODAS managers to aim for.

FISODAS
Was originally developed to provide some interest in International weeks and to provide a relief for FF managers who just liked to tinker. I took the 'Defenders versus Strikers' idea from an early 90's FF competition run by my local newspaper The Shropshire Star. I developed it so that managers played a different opponent every week and their performance in those matches formed a league where they were promoted, relegated and played off just as in real football. The competition was different every week, to provide a FF 'puzzle' every week.
What I learnt
The vast majority playing the game, know what they are doing. They know their football, can work out what good value is and are not easily fooled by red herrings such as suspensions and injuries.
However, I do feel that the competition has provided me with some valuable knowledge on where the average FF Player makes his mistakes. Simply, this is all about 'understanding the rules' (a commandment and quite possibly the most important of all). It is also apparent that managers do not check and double check prior to confirming their teams.
I can only assume that this is the case when playing any other competition. Perhaps a lesson to be learnt by all of us is that if we make transfers etc then we really must use them wisely, not rush into anything without being absolutely sure that its the right thing to do and, above all, understand the tactics that are needed to be successful in each individual competition.
I think I have learned that a 'specialist approach' is needed for each competition. Really understand those rules and to make a massive focus on just one competition without the distractions of entering many.
All the best to all who have played. It's been a lot of work but good fun on the whole. Please support Jester as the new organiser, it is not an easy competition to run and is made easier if everyone checks their teams, enters on time etc.
Cheers. Thats it !

Cheers Shrews.
I really enjoyed playing FISODAS, and very much appreciate all the effort and time you put in, especially the extra touches with the match forecasts and "halftime" updates, and especially the advance entries for those on holiday.
I wish your fantasy mojo well and trust it will be re-energised soon, and if FISODAS continues (as I hope it will), look forward to seeing you as one of the competitors. You took a simple idea and transformed it into something of your own. The only downside was that FISODAS became a higher priority for me than TFF.
P.S. My local paper also ran a similar game and I still have the sweatshirt (embroidered with my team name) from one of their prizes. Incidentally, a salutory lesson into the logic of team name selection - it is one thing to see the name in a list in the paper, but something completely different to wear an item of clothing with it on!

I'll see what I can do. There was a thread about the highest scoring game once, but that's about all I think?

I'm far too tired to look that up tonight, but from memory Zimmerman went from League 2 to the Premiership in consecutive seasons (S8 to S10). Be warned however - he only lasted the one season before you knocked him down this weekend!!
BFM is currently following in your footsteps with his second consecutive promotion this term.
