Just noticed I've made the classic schoolboy error of picking a striker (Deeney) against my defence (United), thus nullifying any goals he scores with the -1

D'oh!

Mind you, on the plus side, if he does score then it nullifies the -1 against the defence.

Since carroll didn't play and captain choices of 13 players went to trash, here's a suggestion... When your captain doesn't play then your lowest priced player becomes captain. That way people would choose the least priced player more cautiously

I got my first point by drawing with him this Week

I was already 3p adrift at the bottom, I actually closed in on Roodnose (which is moot, as I'm still 3p adrift from playoff)

5 goals scored in 4 games is actually very low, although i'm not the lowest, not in my division nor in the whole game
other teams have more pts with the same or even less goals scored

the problem it that despite I conceded no negatives with my defence selections

I have 21 goals conceded, by far the most in the game (2nd is Rookster with 19)
this means I've been by far the unluckiest team with the fixtures so far
I'm "due" some good karma (I could've won this week too with just Chadli's goal, with a lucky fixture: 3 teams scored 0 in my division)
and I'll try to get better striker picks too, form my part

Out of joke
as you can see in the above post, I actually kept FOUR CLEAN SHEETS,
with an average cost of 3.25 and not using DS

I might be bolder with my defence selection, although picking a good one below £3 it's more of a lottery, and you only get to use DS once
Besides, it's not the extra £1 I might pump in strikers that could help me there, my Striker picks have been poor (or turned out to be) regardless the budget
