I am worried about your lack of Chelsea players as they have got good fixtures coming. Soares is a concern as Southampton fixtures are getting tough and they can't keep a clean sheet. I lost patience with my Southampton defenders and swapped them for Liverpool and Watford ones. Jones is a worry as heard Mourinho saying he's out for Brighton game and can be a bit injury prone in the long run. I got Davies and am not liking his future prospects now that Rose is up and ready.

I could be tempted to move Alli and Eriksen on in the short term for maybe Hazard. Chelsea fixtures do look good but only Morata and Hazard look worth bringing in. Moving Kane or Lukaku is a likely backfire move. Other than that, not sure any other move is worth it. Missed the Jones news, which isn't great but depends how long it drags for.

One transfer I was thinking of was Lukaku to Morata next Wednesday. Jones is an annoyance, may drop down to Ward in the teams I don't have him already as they have great fixtures still.

That could tempt me as well, depends on Lukaku's form (and position) in next two games.

Why Morata over Hazard though?

Just feel Hazard is a streaky player rarely scores big and can frustrate. He’s looking good atm though.

Or get both Hazard (already in my team) and Morata, that is what I am doing. A Chelsea defender would be ideal.

Yeah I had Alonso in all my teams but their clean sheet run coincided perfectly with him leaving my teams.

No room for both atm without restructuring I think. Too low on transfers atm.

Week 17 Update

Crap season continues, burning transfers for no real positive gains. I've dropped one of the teams from this thread leaving what I consider the one that has the best chance of success (a word I use loosely).

2 more transfers planned, Sane to Hazard funded by Soares to Tarkowski. So beware. Best performing team  is on 762 in 8919 position, can't remember a worse season.

Forster  (10) De Gea

Soares
Stephens  (6) Jones  (13) Ward
Alonso  (8) Maguire

Milner  (1) Bertrand  (2) Doucoure
Ward-Prowse  (3) Mane  (5) Mkhitaryan  (9) KDB
Salah
Jesus  (7) Lacazette  (11) Sane

Eriksen  (14) Morata
Aguero  (4) Kane
Lukaku  (12) Aguero
50.0

Transfers 26
Points 87/741
Position 15057  15937
SL Pos 16/100
SL Gap -85  -109

Other Team - 697pts, 42549 pos, 23t left.

Is the balanced team forgotten about or might it return if fortunes pick up?

Team is decent and should pick up points steadily, just need to pick the right time to make next transfer run.

You haven't ever settled on a team this year, constant changes.

How many transfers does the best performing team have.

Well it’s hard to not make changes when your team is moving from one poor performing week to another. Very frustrating this season.

Best team has 24t left having burned 3 this weekend too.

Both teams look good. Just got to wait for good opportunities.

Unfortunately the good opportunity of getting Morata and Aguero turned to nothing for me

You went for the 5-2 last week? Why?

The move confuses me as it looks like 3 transfers on Kane (Out, in, and Out again on Tuesday?

I went for a daisy chain. Kane was supposed to come in for Aguero.

Was the plan to keep Kane after Tuesday then?

I failed to excute (well more like bottled) the second part of my Kane to Aguero then Morata to Kane daisy a couple of weeks ago so know the feeling. Was happy to only lose 12 points but it still stings.

Yep. Aguero was frustrating to hold up until yesterday.

Season is done for me this year got no interest anymore every change I make is shite. Spurs at Burnley would normally be tight but of course as soon as I don’t have Kane that’s that. I take out Maguire who scores for the immediately injured (prev injury free) Valencia. I’ve cursed so many players it’s unreal.

And Saints are so my love for football is very low right now.

I only held Aguero as fixtures looked good, happy it paid off. Wish Pep would just play Jesus with him but apparently the Mendy injury means he thinks that won't work as Sane has to go wide as Delph can't provide the width they want.

Not much you can do about Southampton.

24 transfer best team could still make a run. After the Spurs early game, it's set up well for the rest of the festive period.
