Good cushioning of the fantasy hit. Should get it as well.

Re: A Tale of 9 seasons
I might resurrect it later but it won’t be with these two teams. They’ll be cup teams more than likely. Really lost a lot of interest in football this year.

Re: A Tale of 9 seasons
Nothing has really changed much. I continue to get kicked in the fantasy balls, latest is Valencia scoring and keeping a c/s after he lasted about 20 minutes in my team. i'm playing the teams on to the bitter end though.
Best team is on 1212 in 6677 position with 20t left.
As for the teams on this thread they are on 1148 and 1146 in 24k position, miles off the SL lead.
Without question my worst ever FF season to match Saints season. By the way my wife let slip a while ago that she put a bet on us being relegated a few games into the season £40 at 26-1. Silver lining and pay for our Championship season tickets.

Re: A Tale of 9 seasons
Sorry about that.
Not much happening tbh.
Best team stagnate around 5k with 16 t left. Latest failed move being Son.
Trying to nurse my SL teams to as high a position as I can. And trying to avoid Egg Cup relegation. Not the season I had planned. Mirroring Saints.

Honestly hadn't seen your Son update before posting on ChitChat. All these extra games are bleeding transfers for little gainhappyhoppy wrote: ↑11 Feb 2018, 13:31 Sorry about that.

You should be able to get that team up higher with 16 left.

Might get my SL teams in the cash positions but only winning really matters.

Hoppy - What's the deal with Stephens? Is he now a starter or is he covering injuries?

Pretty much nailed on now with Yoshida out for a while but he was ahead of him even beforehand.

Cool thanks. He's tempting me as a Jones replacement, Southampton have decent fixtures. Thoughts on their defensive qualities going forward?

Re: A Tale of 9 seasons
Worst season ever and glad it's over.
Best team was my Tenners team that finished 10th in the SL and on 2062 points in 2938th position.
The 2 SL teams that I was following on here finished on 1989 (11158 pos) and 1971 (14198 pos). Actually won the starting X1 prize in my SL for the former. In that SL I got 6th (Joint), 13th (Wife), 19th and 24th. Team in 6th was the jointly run wife team which actually only finished 62 points off the top. What could have been. A winning 933th position is one of the poorest I think. Makes it even worse.
And I also managed to get relegated from the Egg Premier League by a point c/o Valencia's booking. Even more reason to dislike him, Man U and Mourinho.
Dismal.

Re: A Tale of 9 seasons
As it would be the 10th year of this blog it would be a shame not to do it just because of my apathy towards the game (and to a lesser extent football in general) so I'm going to make an effort and do a team on here for the season but with Monthly updates. I'll post transfers as I go along.
This season will be my lowest ever entry with just 6 teams. Ive entered the 25s, 10s, Egg and my 2 works/friends leagues. Hopefully a smaller entry will help focus my mind a bit although there is absolutely no reason for this to be the case.
My first drafts seem to be leaning towards 532 currently with 3/4 cheap defenders allowing an awesome front 5. This might change to a 442 and 2 more mid priced midfielders.

Didn't have you down as a masochist, Hoppy.
You are allowed to walk away, you know. Your views are often really interesting but as regards posterity, not exactly Samuel Pepys.

A Tale of 10 seasons
Here’s a draft with a Saints semi which nobody would be stupid enough to copy so I’ll put it up here.
