RMT first draft - fresh legs!
Right, let's get this started then! There are some tasty tempters out there. For the early GWs I'm going for players who should be rested and/or have a point to prove after the summer!
GK: Has made the spot his own and Citeh play all 6 promoted clubs from the past two seasons within first 7 games. City keepers outscored De Gea last season. Keeping an eye on Leno too...
DF: Attacking, marauding full backs who should all be high on the assist charts and pick up a few goals and CSs along the way. Douglas total bargain and might well be in everyone's team by October.
MF: Salah's the best bargain in the game at that price! OK, a couple of untrieds at this level in Sess and Jota but neither could be classed as CKs and both look bargains worth getting on early. Sane should get plenty of game time with Sterling still playing in Russia. Deulofeu looks a snip at 3.4 if he gets the game time.
FW: Aguero could fill his boots in Aug/Sep, Aubameyang should spearhead the new-era Arsenal if he can carry on from last spring's form.
£0.6m in the back pocket to bring in any combination of Kane, Lukaku, Jesus once they're back in the groove, upgrade the MF enablers, switch out Alonso if Chelsea change style, or bring De Gea in.

Hard to argue with that team, but for me Sanchez as a mid at 5.6m stood out as someone i must have.

Jota an interesting one. Is he a misclassified forward?

He’s in the first team I threw together. Pretty sure he’s a forward.

Re: RMT first draft - fresh legs!
Let’s just all agree, we are all starting with:
Edersen
Robertson
Salah
& at least 3 from:
Sané
Aubameyang
Aguero
Sanchez
You throw up some interesting names from the promoted clubs. Lots of vastly underpriced players in this game - just trying to work out which ones are more than just good value.

At any other club, yes. Still not convinced he's the right fit at OT.itslikebrandnew wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 09:08 Hard to argue with that team, but for me Sanchez as a mid at 5.6m stood out as someone i must have.

Re: RMT first draft - fresh legs!
Yep, wouldn't normally go so heavy on promoted players but there's some real value in Wolves who I fancy will be top 8 this year - Neves and Cavilhero also worth a look although how Neves is more than Jota is beyond me when you consider their positions/records from last year. At Fulham, Sess and Cairney should be around the 4.5/4.2 mark respectively in real terms for me and Johansen and their new French mid are decent too. Zohore, Hoilett and Morrison look the best options at Cardiff.Jameselaprendi wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 09:40 Let’s just all agree, we are all starting with:

Even if he starts the season as the main striker?FFF wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 10:05At any other club, yes.

Fair point, but it remains to be seen whether he will, and with City's fixtures I still fancy Sane to generate more early points at 0.7m cheaper.Jameselaprendi wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 10:20Even if he starts the season as the main striker?FFF wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 10:05At any other club, yes. Re: RMT first draft - fresh legs!
There's about 8 stand out players from the championship at bargain prices. Neves isn't one of them though as i had him for part of last season in TFF.

Yep re FPL and there are a few Wolves bod's (well I assume so as they post with a certain erm certainess) who haven't made the OOP point.

Re: RMT first draft - fresh legs!
He wasn't on my radar assuming he was going to be a £6.5m+ forward...but at 5.6m as a midfielder, probably on penalties, has had his first summer off in many years etc he'll be in plenty now.FFF wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 10:26Fair point, but it remains to be seen whether he will, and with City's fixtures I still fancy Sane to generate more early points at 0.7m cheaper.Jameselaprendi wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 10:20Even if he starts the season as the main striker?FFF wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018, 10:05At any other club, yes. Re: FFF - RMT first draft - fresh legs!
Update, made before I'd read the encouraging Wolves comments above
Logic: Alonso might not fit new Chelsea shape; Douglas not guaranteed to start; Sess might not play forward. Everton have good early fixtures; Bennett is a cheaper enabler; Mahrez fresh and likely to feature early on - City have some great fixtures in Aug/Sept.

3-5-2 looking more the way to go with so many OOP 'mids'?

Not sold on Hudson. Chelsea look like they have problems right now. They won't be fixed until they get players back, at which point he won't play.

Not enough funds to get Kane in if he starts scoring on his return.

Re: RMT first draft - fresh legs!
If the latest RMTs (like this one) are anything to go by, there are going to be an awful lot of very similar FISO starting XIs!
We always do this. We groupthink ourselves into a very narrow selection of players and then collectively kick ourselves when someone (retrospectively obvious) starts the season on fire.

Yup. My team is very similar - Ederson, Zaha Arnie over Allison, Mane King.Tom QC wrote: ↑08 Aug 2018, 09:50 If the latest RMTs (like this one) are anything to go by, there are going to be an awful lot of very similar FISO starting XIs!

Very close to mine and it seems, many others on here.
I'm not sold on King though? 4.6 seems a bit expensive considering he only got 8 goals last season?

Neither am I. I think there are better options at that price or a little more in midfield.ministryofsillywalks wrote: ↑08 Aug 2018, 14:29 Very close to mine and it seems, many others on here.
