RMT - First Tinker
Let me know your thoughts ...
Forster
Valencia
Trippier
Keane
Alli
Willian
Redmond
Salah
Kane
Lukaku
Gayle
49.9m
Think most choices are obvious. Problems come from Hazard coming back and having zero Arsenal or City cover. Plus points are fairly solid (I think) and based around good starting fixtures for respective selected teams. I don't really have an enabler though ...

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Mirrors a lot of my initial thinking too, so obviously I like it! Not sure about Salah/Redmond. Rotation risks? Gayle seems worth a punt at that price: difficult to find a "sure thing" midfielder at that price as an alternative.

Re: RMT - First Tinker
My thinking with Salah is he's having a storming pre season, so in theory will at least start. Redmond would be for the easy fixtures at the start ... is he a rotation risk?

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Salah has to start in my eyes, you don't pay all that money for a bench warmer and Liverpool need to improve, he could be the answer and offers good value plus he's looked good in pre season

I like it. Especially the midfield, looks a bit like a Christmas tree. One improvement, switch Salah.
Ali
Salah
Willian
Redmond
There !. A flight of stairs. Much better midfield.
Your welcome )

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Bit of an update .. thoughts?
Forster
Ward
Trippier
Keane
KDB
Willian
Ritchie
Salah
Kane
Lukaku
Jesus
49.5m
Alli has been having a pretty average pre season, couple that with Wembley and I'm going to watch (have money to swap in). Ward, simply and enabler. KDB is on fire in pre season and City have a pretty easy start. Jesus, same reason and pre seaon seems to be being used as a lone striker more. 0.5m Left means can swap people around, get Hazard in or Sanchez or Alli etc.
Thoughts? Better than before or going the wrong way?

Which Ward? The popular one's place is at risk apparently

Re: RMT - First Tinker
An option would be Ince (3.1) in for Ritchie & Jack Stephens (2.6) in for Ward.
He looks nailed on to play centre half for Saints this season & 2.6m is a steal. They should be pretty tight if the new managers reputation is anything to go by.

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Slight tinker to the team .. an improvement?
Forster
Stephens
Kolasinac
Alonso
KDB
Willian
Loftus Cheek
Salah
Kane
Lukaku
Jesus
I think its a pretty strong team ... it's dead on £50m though so no wiggle room. Loftus cheek and Stephens could be problems if they don't start start (although Stephens could be swapped out for Ward, I think everything is pointing at Stephens at least starting the season).
Better or worse than my last draft?

Don't see the attraction of Loftus Cheek personally, I'd rather have Tom Carroll.Thomarse wrote: ↑07 Aug 2017, 09:47 Slight tinker to the team .. an improvement?

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Agree, I would rather have Caroll but with £50m spent .. I can't see an easy way to get the 0.1 needed. I could bin change Jesus for Alli ... and get the 0.1? but then Jesus has looked pretty good the last couple of pre seasonsMidlander wrote: ↑07 Aug 2017, 12:16Don't see the attraction of Loftus Cheek personally, I'd rather have Tom Carroll.Thomarse wrote: ↑07 Aug 2017, 09:47 Slight tinker to the team .. an improvement?

Or the alternative could be
Willian Carroll
Loftus Cheek Vertognhen
and go to a 4-3-3

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Think I have finally settled on the below. Pretty solid, balanced team I think:
Forster
Stephens
Kolasinac
Alonso
Vertonghan
KDB
Carroll
Salah
Kane
Lukaku
Jesus
leaves me 0.1 to use on KDB to Alli or Jesus to Hazard as and when. Will probably change it by friday

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Looks very solid. I'm still working out the last 3 spots on my team (where you have Kola, Salah and Carroll) but I have a very similar one to yours. The only differences are Valencia ahead of Vertonghen and Aguero instead of Lukaku. Obviously that gives me less cash to fill my last 3 spots.

Re: RMT - First Tinker
Ideally I wanted Trippier instead of Vert He is my only real undecided spot I think
